We beat Tampy Bay on the road

/thread

I also could care less if it was in England or not

/thread x2

I worked hard rooting for the #1 pick in the draft. Every week hoping the game plan was the wrong one. In some small way I'd like to think I helped with one of those 15 loses ... it was grueling.

It's better to burn out
Rust doesn't sleep

im not happy about the way the pats keep looseing on the road

but look at who they lost to the jets who where the best team in the NFL for the first 3 weeks and the only team to hold the saints to 10 points on O this year and they are still fighting for a wild card spot

denver who was the number one D in the NFL at the time and was 6-0 and it was in denver where the pats have only won a hand full of times in the last 20 years

the colts who are 14-0 and may go down as the greatest team in NFL history

the saints same as the colts

and at the fish who where the AFC east champions last year

that and the pats are not the same team they was the whole core of the D is goin and replaced by jags and the pats where a very over rated team to start the season

so the fact that they are 8-5 and in first place is not to bad

Tim Goad had more heart than any of these young kids on this 2009 team. Hopefully they will mature.

Vincent Brown would also look better than all of the 2009 linebackers with the exception of Mayo.

If we only had Tim Goad instead of Wilfork!

lol 89 tackels from a NT is not bad

I can't imagine that 3-4 was similar to ours. I don't think you occupy 2-3 blockers and make 89 tackles.

Of course Tippett started 13 games that year with no evidence of any tackles i can find even though he had sacks.

Goad was a fine player. He would be too small to play any position in our base defense, maybe underweight end.

i agree for he's time he was a ok NT but he was no wilfork

I'm not, but there was something endearing and likeable about that team.

Indeed, there was. I like to call it "The moment the season ended". I really liked that. :D

Bob Golic was a pretty good undersized NT too.

I guess there's a lotof different types of 3-4, but that's beyond me. I pretty much know what we do and a big Ted or a Wilfork is ideal.

"Even our 1990 pathetic 1-15 team won a game on the road"

They also went 0-8 at home, genius.

If you didn't use a calculator to figure that out I applaud you, thats a remarkable observation sherlock

Maybe that even a Blind Squirrel will find a nut, maybe the Pats will to?

I took this to be just another "ZOMG WE SUCK" thread.

I'm not too worried about finally winning one on the road. I'm very confident we can beat Buffalo.

Who's gonna play defense?
Howdy dowdy and crew?

Maybe the FORTIETH pick in the ENTIRE draft will get a shot to show how pathetic he really.......ahhhh I mean that he has talent.........aXVSBDF.;IJBD /O'

The worst team in Patriots history won a game on the road...The only game they won that year so its time for this team to at least tie the 1990 Rod RUSTy Patriots RIGHT!!!!!

(BTW: Anyone mentioning the Bucs game in London as a road win gets b!tch slapped - road wins pertain to other teams stadiums in my book :))
I think YOU are the one who should be xxxx slapped.. and maybe much more...your book basically sucks.. Tell me..was the game in London a home game?? What DOES YOUR book classify it as home or away?? OR maybe it does NOT compute...No kidding this team has had a horrible year on the road, but the notion of traveling to Europe and having to have a bye week after and saying "it's not a road game" is PURE rubbish. I guess we have imaginary games at Gillette that week. Go tell that to any of the teams that have traveled to London that it's not an away game. Pretty lame.

Out of curiosity, what makes you think the Pats can beat a good team on the road? They haven't done it yet.
