The worst team in Patriots history won a game on the road...The only game they won that year so its time for this team to at least tie the 1990 Rod RUSTy Patriots RIGHT!!!!!

(BTW: Anyone mentioning the Bucs game in London as a road win gets b!tch slapped - road wins pertain to other teams stadiums in my book :))

I understand your concern with this yr's road woes, and I am concerned too, but remember we had leads at DEN, IND, MIA, NO, so it's not like we haven't been competitive.

Our losses are by 1, 1, 3, and 7--all within a score (not counting the NO) game. Even the blowout we were about to go up 14-3 or at least 10-3, and were still only down 31-24 in the 3rd. Had our secondary and pass rush played better, we would've been right in there.

I think the majority of the road woes can be attributed to simply having some bad luck/bad breaks, and not being able to finish. I don't think we are on any level as bad as the road record suggests. I don't know about you, but I expected a home loss or 2--so it all balances out anyway.

All I know is that we're in a good position to have a decent stretch run, and possibility go to the playoffs. Once there, anything can happen.

I believe you bring a lot to the boards with your threads, and understand your frustrations, etc--but...I wouldn't be surprised if you get flamed pretty hard by some that aren't as patient. I can see why some would think ANY comparisons to the 1990 Pats are a bit on the pessimistic side.;)

Do you really need attention so much you have to start 5 threads a day?

What are you going to do reach through your computer screen and slap that person?

Why not, he's talking into a Mr. Microphone as he delivers his breaking stories, can't you tell?

I've been very disturbed about this team's struggles on the road, mainly because it tells me that this team cant win when they go into an opposing team's stadium where the fans are against them. They lack that "f u" attitude.

There's no way Patten makes this team.

No, they're trying to find their identity. They are a bit out of synch on both sides of the ball and a top player has been sat down twice because of attitude.

I'm actually very optimistic, because it seems BB has challenged the team, kept his cool and made some adjustments, simpler and more effective, as opposed to complex and not well executed.

Guys like Faulk and Warren are speaking up and the supposed discipline problems, maybe even Thomas, seem to be getting in line. There are no prizes for peaking in mid season, and we've seen many teams with FU attitudes fizzle out by seasons end.

All we need is to build on a pretty good game at Carolina and we could be on the upswing attitude wise by the playoffs. we've got plenty of talent as long as we get more discipline on defense and spread the ball a bit more when Moss is drawing triple coverage. That should loosen things up.

If we're good we can win anywhere, so why worry about that?

At least that team had heart and could run the ball. Poor coaching and play calling was responsible for many of those 15-losses. Many a goal line stand as well.

Actually, he would lol. Seriously, we need Watson, Welker or Faulk to break touchdowns when Moss is triple covered. Make teams pay, loosen it up.

Watch the end of this BB tape breakdown. We need to make teams suffer when they triple Moss, not settle for outs with no YAC.

Are you really pining over the 1-15 team? Would you prefer that they give max effort and come up short every week over being in first place?

I'm not, but there was something endearing and likeable about that team.

Is this some sort of bizarre revisionist history experiment? For the record, besides everything else that was wrong with that team, we already have almost 150 more rushing yards than that team did and our 4.1 YPC beats their 3.7. Other than that, you're right on.

Like little, lost puppydogs?

Pretty much. I guess it's not a compliment to call a football team "cute", but there you go.

Great stuff! On two of the plays that were shown Moss was triple covered. That is so key to the other receivers. By Moss running deep routes he's dragging three defenders with him which opens it up for Welker and the other receivers underneath.

The benefit of having Moss is evident even before the snap of the ball. The safeties were playing 17 yards off the ball at the snap. The Panthers were obviously concerned about being burnt deep.

Oh yeah, that's right, Felger's going to run Moss out of town. We better enjoy Moss now while he is here.

This thread is comical. :)
