YES Dierdork was HORRIBLE, its like the patriots didn't exist. Again he was putrid, pathetic, most a lot of the post game thread was about how bad he was.

Dierdorf never uses the word "gimmie" so I don't know where that idea even comes from.

Of course it's not a "gimmie!" It's an NFL intra-division game and the Visiting team has a banged up QB, a questionable secondary and hasn't won a game on the road all season, including it's two other roadie division games.

Anyone who follows the NFL closely enough to know that the football isn't stuffed with feathers knows this game isn't a gimmie!

I must admit I had a boner when I found out that Dierdorf was fired from MNF a few years back.

Let's not shoot the messenger; his opinions are within reasons. Bills are not that bad, and Pats are not a great road team and are in a slump. Plus the redemption factor, and an interim coach auditioning for a job, this one could be closer than many people think. Won't be surprised with a loss here.

This is a classic case of having more media time to fill than having worthy content available to fill it.

It could also be genius to realize that a team may or may not win the game and you can't tell what will happen before the game is played.

Who's disagreeing with his reasoning? The Pats struggled with a pitiful Carolina team AT HOME. Why would it be a gimmie to beat a better Buffalo team on the road? I think people are mocking him because it's so obviously NOT a gimmie.

IIRC, I believe they did the Fins game #1, which was our 27-17 victory about 6 weeks ago--so at least it's not a total jinx.

I think I remember because a lot of the post game chatter here was about Dierdorf giving the Dolphins credit for just about everything, even though we played just as well and won the game.

We may be spoiled by the Simms/Nantz crew heaping praises at us all the time. We certainly earned them with the championships. This year's team did not achieve much and does not deserve much credit IMHO ... maybe the team could sneak up on people a few times in the playoff.

I'm gonna mute my set Sunday. I'm deeply saddened Dierdorf will be doing the program. I was hoping for a Gus Johnson sighting as he usually does NFL Siberia games like this one.

Its criminal that someone hasn't marketed a TiVo like device for radio that uses wireless internet to sync up Gil and Gino on the radio with the local TV broadcast. Technically possible but too complex (read, expensive) and too small a market. Bummer. I'd pay a few hundred bucks.

Wait.Why wouldn't you simply turn down the TV volume and turn on a nearby stereo/radio source to Gil and Gino? I have a few friends who do this regularly. No gagetry needed.....
