OK, let's let's try to guess some of Belichick's classic responses:

On Randy Moss: "He's made a lot of great plays for us and has been one of the most productive players in the history of the NFL."

On LateGate: "We keep disciplinary issues in-house Mike."

On 4th down decisions: "I'm trying to make decisions that gives our team the best chance to win."

On failure to win on the road: "It comes down to execution and the other team has done a better job coaching and making a few more plays better than us."

Any more?

I missed the start, but the pair had Bill talking football instead of personnel. There was a brief replay when they came back from break after Bill left and played his comment on people trying to judge Randy's play on 10 seconds of TV broadcast. Then Green commented on how Hoge and Jaworski coming out in support of Moss after watching the Coach's film changes the whole complexion of the story in Randy's favor. It looks like the wankers are losing ground in this.

Don't worry, these same fans are just waiting for Maroney to fumble or Meriweather to blow a tackle or Wilhite to drop an INT, so they can go pounce on any of those guys too. They'll move on from Moss as soon as another player makes a bad play, then they'll go rip said player and feel good about themselves. It's the Circle of Life.

Well there was this classic response to Golic inquiring about what BB thought was in Charlie Weis' future.

BB Response (paraphrased): Charlie is a great coach but right now our focus is on the Buffalo Bills.

It was obvious Golic was really asking if Weis may be on his way back to the Pats. When will these people ever learn <shaking head>.

M&M get BB

D&C get Pete Carrol.

Re: ESPN2: Bill Belichick on Mike & Mike this morning (8:40am)

Did anyone catch the comment at the end? Something along the lines of "coach, we had this interview scheduled earlier this morning, and we were kind of concerned about starting it LATE. Bill ignored it and signed off politely. Afterward they were both giggling about the "being late" comment which I took as them goofing on late-gate.

Fixed.

You don't have to wait long. He usually blows a couple a game.

yeah it was more along the lines of golic saying that "some listners said that since belichick was LATE we shouldnt be talking to you ." it was definitely a shot at late gate because BB was supposed to be on at 8:30 but pats called and said he will be on after 10 mins.

Yes it was a shot and a cheap one - Guess they have never worked in an enterprise business where you define schedules and priorities, or maybe they don't recognize that as far as football goes they are one of the lower ones.

They just didn't realize that he wasn't late for work he was at work.

:) Lighten up people. These bozos are trying, emphasize trying, to be funny and entertaining to their audience. That's their only purpose on that show--they could care less about rationally analyzing anything.

LOL - I agree - though it's still a cheap shot

Imagine if BB said, "You're right. I shouldn't be talking to you. Sorry. Bye. *click*" :D

I totally missed that.

It's entertainment. I have no problem with it. I'd certainly say it myself (if I was smart enough to think of it at the time :) ). I'd hope BB or whoever could handle a funny comment like that.

It was a joke!

Calm down, please...

Yes. Bill can laugh at himself and that wasn't particularly mean.

It sounded as though BB used Wes Welker as his media trainer for that interview -- is there a competition for who can get the most 'y'knows' into a five minute space?
