Re: Glad Assante Samual holds no grudges...

i dont intend to click and read this but its the herald and boston media. they love nothing more than than to prove to players and coaches that they can run you out of town. just another attempt at contacting all players who left and asking for opinions like seymour. who is next ? hobbs ? milloy ?

Re: Glad Assante Samual holds no grudges...

Nice catch in the Super Bowl ***ante.

Re: Glad Assante Samual holds no grudges...

After that debacle in February, he is SO dead to me, along with The Twig and AD

2 peas in a pod - "me first" players who are all about the money.

True, it was just one play in a whole game, but making that interception would have not only enshrined the Patriots franchise as the greatest of all time, but it would have further increased Asante's worth and standing in the NFL as a clutch championship player.

He did go on to make his money with Philly, but he could have had the dough and yet so much more. Dropping that ball ranks up there with one of the biggest sports chokes ever. Don't really care what he does from here on out.

He had history in his hands ... and he dropped it.

Re: Glad Assante Samual holds no grudges...

yeah more should speak up around Foxboro ...like Brady he should say "thanks for not catching the Super Bowl winning INT and for taking away my 4th ring and 3rd Super Bowl MVP award ASSante"

Re: Glad Assante Samual holds no grudges...

Awww poor little Asante just wanted a hug for each one of his INT and wanted all of his failed gambles to be ignored. Go F yourself Samuel. The patriots are the main reason you are being paid so much right now you ungrateful SOB!

I'm being a little unfair for the reason you gave and it was a tough catch - but it was right there to be caught. It's just a damn shame.

Re: Glad Assante Samual holds no grudges...

Sounds like the typical jilted-lover tone that many ex-pats have taken. He feels he wasn't given enough individual love and attention here but obviously misses the winning culture. Just like Lawyer, Law, Seymour, Hobbs, etc.

Re: Glad Assante Samual holds no grudges...

...and the horse he rode in on!

Re: Glad Assante Samual holds no grudges...

His mistakes in the Super Bowl do not disqualify him to comment on the general state of the locker room during his tenure. His decision to go elsewhere for more money does not make him a locker room problem.

Re: Glad Assante Samual holds no grudges...

***ante, just go **** yourself. Words can't express how much I hate you for dropping that catch. Yes, THAT catch! Of course, you couldn't care less about it...you still got your $60 mil, right? ******* @#$%!@#%

Re: Glad Assante Samual holds no grudges...

easy guys

that catch was off his fingertips. It isn't like he had a for sure thing that anybody would get off their couch and come down with

on another not I don't care for people who seek out the biggest contract. It's a game, and as an average joe I must say I'd be a teams tackling dummy for a million a year. I think players should worry more about winning and just be thankful they make the money they do. Obviously if it wasn't for football most of them would be wiping down your cars as you leave a car wash or carrying heavy boxes

...we gots to move those microwave ovens...we gots to move those color TVs!

Re: Glad Assante Samual holds no grudges...

He ****ed up twice on that final drive. First the interception that wasn't, and (I believe) the next play he left Tyree, who caught the ball with his helmet. If Samuel had just stayed with him like the rest of the Patriots were doing with their men, that would have set up a 4th-and-5 from the Giants 44. ****. I'll never get over that.

yeah really

During the UCS vs UCLA game the student athlete of the game or something like that was a communications major with a 2.8 GPA

GENIUSES

It's funny, but Samuel was never accused of quitting on a play, even though that was 100% the definition of QUITTING on a play. But hey Samuel is no dog-faker!

The pain thinking about that game, ugh

No, he was never part of the problem per se, just not part of the solution, either. Ted Johnson was asked about the loss of veteran leadership last week and when Asante's name was mentioned he said no, he was never a leader. Asante was always in it for himself, his mission from the day he was drafted was to prove to the world they undervalued him.

Had the Giants not played worse than Philly the other night they would have been hanging Asante and several of his teamates in effigy. He got smoked more than once attempting to jump routes and guessing wrong. So far they are only paying him at the rate of $1.75M per INT...

Samuel got a 10 on the Wunderlich which means he knows his name and address and not much more. I doubt he'd know good leadership from bad.
