Jerry Rice joins the chorus ripping Randy Moss

More games or not, Rice sounds like a bitter man after having his single season touchdown record broken by Moss.

This is getting ridiculous now.

I think if we have one new thread for every column from somebody with an opinion on Randy Moss's game yesterday, Ian may have to create a new sub-forum.

Definitely sounds bitter, just like when he left SF due to not wanting to take a backseat to TO on the tail end of his career. I'll put stock into Cris Carter's negative comments but this is like hearing Steelers fan ripping Belicheck during spygate.

You know, for being the biggest malcontent the league has ever seen, Moss doesn't hold a candle to the bitter, distasteful and immature vitriol thrown his way by these supposed "greats".

Say what you will about Randy, but since he has been here he has never shot his mouth off the way some of these washed up fools do. And even before coming here it was more media bias than Randy.

Rice can say whatever the hell he wants. Rice had 22 in 12 games. He would've had close to 30 if it wasn't a shortened season.

Waaa waaaa waaaaaaa. 4 games less or not, it's Randy's record now and Rice can please himself.

opinions are like a#$holes...everybody has one. Time for a fitzy "leave randy alone" segment

Hey, why not rip Brady he definitely overthrew the ball on that interception. Or Volmer who gave up on a play in the second half while blocking Peppers. He was doing pretty good and must have thought the play was over, he let Peppers go and he almost sacked Brady and Brady had to throw the ball away. Or Sammy Morris who fumbled on the drive to start the second half. Moss had a bad game and there's a camera on his every move.

The only thing I want is for Moss to hear each and every insult and get motivated to prove them wrong. Nothing would be better than a pissed off Moss going into the final month!

He can't say whatever he wants and not sound like a jerkoff even if he scored 22 in one game. Since when does accomplishment of any sort give one the right to say petty, vindictive things and have those things accepted as OK? The zenith of jock-sniffing...

Not sure if I agree with the logic. Accomplishments don't give carte blanche for spouting off stupid comments. Pretty much everyone wants the '72 Dolphins to shut the hell up...

I'm tired of hearing all the negativity directed towards Randy. I have never heard another teammate question his work ethic, his football knowledge, his talent or his desire to win. I only hear it from bitter old receivers, the media, and a few fans.

I am giving Moss the benifit of the doubt and asuming he is not 100%. The man is consistently the main focus of all defensive team strategies and still has amazing games.

Don't bale on this guy too early, he's got plenty left in the tank. Let's cut him some slack. Keep the fair weather fans in Jet land

and mossgate continues.....

Why does rice even care what moss does? ever since rice had that knee blown out he has been bitter about not being able to play at his highest level

Jerry Rice has the biggest Ego of any WR to ever play the game. The difference is that the media didn't try to crucify players back then the way they do today. The guy is just pissed that Moss is breaking his records and is making a strong push to be called the greatest WR to ever play. He wants to see him fail so he can continue to be regarded as the best. Rice is just as big a prima dona as TO.

Heck, the only reason why people talk so much about Rice's great work ethic is because Rice was always talking about it. He wanted everyone to know how hard to worked. Moss could care less what people think, he just wants to go out and win games.

Rice has had a hard on for Moss ever since Moss broke his record. Remember how he refused to call Moss and say congrats, saying Moss should be the one calling him for some stupid reason or another.

Jerry Rice is a person whom I more remember for being a joke his last few years, clinging to the game because that is all he has in his life. Any chance he gets to discredit the person that broke his record makes him feel that much better about himself, and gives him a little bit of that spotlight that he so desperatley craves to have once again.

Go f*ck yourself, Jerry.

I found it amazing today that Jerry was saying Moss needed to get down field, finish plays and make blocks for his team mates yesterday. That was comment given the amount of times I watched Randy blocking for the other wideouts, in particular Welker.

Try watching the game before passing commentary Jerry.
