Rodney's thoughts on Moss

I agree with Rodney.
And the stuff about Leaf is funny.

...Yep, gotta agree with Rodney (although, weather will have a lot to do with things). Certainly would expect Moss to have a better day than yesterday.

Anyone who has watched Moss career knows he will rebound big.

It always happens. One game he'll have barely nothing, the next game he'll do alot.

He's not going to the HOF because he's a quitter. This is on my list of things not to worry about, right after BB and TB.

So on one hand, we have Bruschi, Harrison. Brady, Faulk and Belichick saying one thing. On the other hand, we have Chris Gamble saying the opposite. And people here actually believe Gamble?

Gamble was the only one talking from a perspective that mattered during the game and on the field.

His head coach's perspective doesn't matter during the game and on the field? And neither does his quarterback's? Uhh.... okay. If you say so.

Classic!

For a guy who is 'known' for quitting on his team, he sure as hell makes a lot of friends on his team. It's amazing how teammates and former teammates alike stick up for a guy who quits on them

Body language damnit, body language I tell ya!

I don't know.... how many times were Belichick and Brady lined up on the field to defend Moss?

You should probably take your head out of the collective team's pocket long enough to read what people are saying before attacking them. It would help you avoid looking as silly as you have with most of your posts today.

Moss was clearly not focused and playing at 100% effort yesterday. You may put it down to injury, frustration, 'disengaging', a spat with Brady a few weeks ago, the lack of a beautiful sunset, concerns about a pregnancy test, thinking of the greatness of 2007, his inability to get the song "You Light Up My Life" out of his head, concerns about the stability of the middle east, flat out quitting on the team, or some other justification if you choose.

The reality is that, in the eyes of his opponents, his play was that of a man who was going through the motions, no matter the reason.

C'mon.... seriously? I know for a fact that you're not stupid, which makes it all the more confusing that you'd make such a stupid argument.

How about I reply with "I don't know... how many times was Gamble in position to throw Moss the ball?"

Wow, look at that... stalemate.

You're about as far off on my point as you can possibly be. Perhaps a re-read is in order.

Moss dogged it yesterday, I don't care about his season to date stats, that's completely unacceptable. Was there ever even one player here during the SB years that dogged it? I can't think of any. Moss deserves some criticism.

Well if I look silly and am proven wrong should I just run away from the thread and never post in it again? Kind of like someone around here in the Kraft/Felger issue a few weeks ago?

I don't give a damn what the eyes of his opponents thought? If his opponents were reliable on how they judged Moss, they would collectively not have let him produce as much as he has for a decade.

Champ Bailey was playing for the Panthers yesterday?

So Gamble has the ability to correctly determine that Moss is dogging it and you disregard Bailey's statements that Moss is very deceptive? Cool, whatever fits

well..gamble said thats what everyone other player inthe league on defense he has talked to said about randy . apparently he didnt talk to bailey ...

Oh, joy, another idiotic straw man...

This is the problem with homers that don't bother to even try grasping what's being said. They say stupid things.

Moss' production in the past month hasn't been anywhere near "as much as he has for a decade".

Catches over that time:

5
3
2
1

Yards over that time:

34
67
66
16

Touchdowns

1
0

0

Moss has clearly seen his production dip over the course of the past 4 weeks. Had it been a small dip, it would have been of little import, because he was producing at an extremely high level earlier in the season. However, because he was producing so well, the drop has been easy to spot.
