Warren says Adalius Thomas leaked "LateGate" news

Key point: Tom tips off the play with his foot placement. If his feet are side-by-side when he takes the snap, he's keeping the ball, but if his right foot is offset back, it's a hand-off to Jerry.

Tom's issues are all with his eyes. He gets Jerry in great position all the time (in a sandwich, in a cooking pot on the stove, etc.) but he always looks away to get veggies or condiments. Jerry always uses that opportunity to slip away and put Tom's tail in his place.

Tom needs to simplify his game plan. I would recommend losing the complicated food preparation...but if he must make a fancy meal, Tom should prepare Jerry first before moving onto the side dishes.

Wes Welker talked about AD in his post-game presser yesterday too. Never mentioned AD's name but it was very obvious who he was talking about.

I wonder if this is grounds for banning him for conduct detrimental. Maybe they could come to an agreement that he should just stayee at homee.

I mean what good does it do for him to even show up given that he won't play because he sucks at OLB or any LB and he's a jerk.

i think this has happened before with players and warren probablymean it got leaked when it normally wouldnt.

Bruschi said the same thing on Friday- between that and this, it sounds like Belichick does stuff like this when people are late, but it normally doesn't get out.

It becomes more significant after BB told them to get more disciplined after the Miami game... AD has turned into an attention grabbing millionaire.. too bad from what I heard, he is a really good guy.

If he were a good guy he'd return some of his ill-gotten loot. He clearly has wildly underperformed...they unload the brinks truck and this turd can't make plays.

From what I heard, he's a giant douche.

I think that BB should lay off future "big price tag" free agents in the future.

Let's see:

- Guyton keeps his mouth shut and comes back that night to study film.
- Burgess essentially apologizes and says that he's "disappointed in himself", making it clear that he's not playing along with AD.
- The normally quiet Warren speaks out that AD leaked the whole story in the first place, also drawing a line with AD on the other side.

The team appears to be circling the wagons around BB and isolating AD as a lone renegade on the outside.

Colvin and AD were both the gems of the defensive FAs in their given years. I think they need to know the difference character wise. That's why I wouldn't want a Peppers and I'm shaky on a Merriman but I'd love to have a Dansby. I'm shaky on Merriman because I believe the guy is about winning but his off the field stuff is just a bit too much at times. I don't want to totally dump on him either because his charitable works in both San Diego and College Park are huge. But Tia Tequila? Really? LOL. I think Peppers is all about the coin and is playing half assed for the Panthers while earning his mil/game. He'd be more like an AD without the likes of all the Patriots past leadership there.

I don't want Peppers at this point. Too expensive, and not enough consistency. Dansby would be great but he's not primarily a pass rusher, and he would cost a lot. I'd take Merriman, issues and all at this point. He has a great motor and desire to win, which we need on this defense. He has some warts, but those will keep his price down. AD looked like a jewel in 2007 when we signed him, but has turned out to be a turd. Maybe Merriman will be the turd who turns out to be a jewel. Rodney certainly had his share of blemishes as well when we signed him in 2003.

Also, as others have mentioned, Aaron Kampman from Green Bay might be a cheaper option worth considering.

Interesting. Nice to hear about Guyton. If you wanna keep score on the "Lategate 4", you have this about Guyton, you have Burgess who showed a little "piss and vinegar" yesturday getting after the QB. You have AD who was kept home, and Moss.... who might as well have been.

Jerry is the Wes Welker of LooneyToons

Trying to get Adalius to play hard is like trying to get the stink off of a skunk. He has cashed it in. Get the great contract then sulk like a little baby.

Warren is actually the ideal guy to step forward in defensive leadership. He's been with the team the longest, or close to it. He's a highly accomplished player. He's been a captain. He's been impeccable in the press. He did the top draft pick "keep the rookies in line" thing long ago.

He's needed.

It was obvious that Sherlize Manza got her news from AD. You could hear how she was defending him on Patriots playbook. I have commented on her stories that it is obvious who her mole was. When he leaves town, we will see how she will get her news.

Also, AD knew he will not look good if all the reporters just report that he went home and put his toes in the air so he came back to say he watched film. That was BS and if you buy into that, then you don't see that discipline BB was trying to instill in the young players on this team.

What the hell was AD trying to do? Get the fans and media against BB or what?

Thats true, I had a hunch about it when she said something about "I know for a fact that one of the players was 9 minutes late, I cannot comment about the rest." Then in the presser or w/e with AdT later on he said he was only 9 mins late. Made sense when the only solid info she had was on AdT and have him confirm that it was him who was 9 mins late by mentioning it in a interview later.

the 'circling the wagons' is almost as overused as 'bulletin board material'

BB doesn't need any wagons circled around him....he could cut everyone if he wanted to....players, coaches, you name it.....

it is everyone else who needs protection from BB.........contractually, he is GOD in that organization....GOS don't need no stinking wagons around him

I was looking at Dansby to come in and be a leader and call the defense and allow Mayo to just play. Those two as our ILB's would be sensational.

Rodney's blemishes were all from hitting too hard!
