Belichick pans Panther critics

"I have a lot of respect for Randy, I think he's one of our best players and I think if you watch other teams defend him and watch other teams play against him, they think the same way," he said. "Other than these two guys from Carolina after they lost another game. I guess they don't think that way. They haven't won a lot of games now."

I love BB...

Masterful.

Really? Then why did BB have TB throw a pass to Moss on the last play of the Jets game?

because the jets bought an all out blitz ????

Yep, agree or disagree with his decisions, like him or not, BB's gonna have your back if you're one of his players, unless you've quit on the team and are being a total POS. Makes the way Adalius has handled himself look all the worse.

Agreed!!! Please tell that to Moss pinkhat nation because they're endlessly quoting his stats. ;)

Gotta love BB... classic stuff.

No wonder the Patriots hate their coach so much. Because he is so disloyal to the players as the media astutely points out!

this is huge.. bill rarely (ever?) does this

The panthers players were asked about randy, and they gave an answer.

What were they supposed to say? "Yeah, we shut him down because we're awesome! Take that randy!" That would have been a lie.

Just another example of the media spinning some pretty benign statements into something they're not.

Big move: Belichick stands up for his boys - AFC East Blog - ESPN

More on Graham's ESPN blog (which is decent, despite it's name brand):

"I have a lot of respect for Randy," Belichick said. "I think he's one of our best players, and I think if you watch other teams defend him and watch other teams play against him, they think the same way -- other than these two guys from Carolina after they lost another game. I guess they don't think that way. They haven't won a lot of games now."

So the message that will resonate with the younger players in the Patriots' locker room is this:

Bill might be tough on us, but when an outsider wants to make an example of us, he'll have our backs.

Next up for the Patriots: the Buffalo Bills, who won't be sending Gamble or Harris a Christmas card this year.

That ****** safety from the Steelers is the last that I can remember. He didn't even take it to Joey Porter like this, IIRC, and god knows he could have...

give em the freddy mitchell treatment
