Moss leaves without speaking to media - Extra Points - Boston.com

"As long as the guys in this locker room know that he's giving his all, and that football is the No. 1 thing in his life, I don't think what other people think matters," Faulk said. "He knows what he has to do as a football player, and he's doing it. Nobody else is complaining. Nobody in this organization is complaining about what he's doing."

Ever think he doesn't play hard?

"Never. One thing I would add: I think that what happened this week, as far as getting sent home -- I think it pissed us of as players, too -- how the media expressed how Randy Moss got sent home with three other players. That's what really hurts him the most. Why not name the other three players? Why just his name? He was really hurt about the situation, about getting sent home. But at the same time, that's what Bill's wishes were. And that's what he did."

Was it lingering at all?

"I know it wasn't. He loves football. This is what he loves to do. And nobody ever says that."

Moss got the biggest pre-game cheer from the fans. The media sucks goat balls and I hope the team uses their negativity to play even better. Hard to see that 4 guys were late. The way the media portrayed it was 2 guys were slacking and were late and 2 guys should have left earlier.

I think it was just a bad day for 81. The events of this week played a part in it, I'm sure -- but I hope, and think, that this will get him fired up for the rest of the season.

Pfft. Like Kevin Faulk knows better than the posters on PatsFans.com!

Good for Faulk!

This offense is physically hurting. They need to publicly support each other publicly. If someone needs to take hits or make recriminations, that needs to come from Belichick pr Brady. The offense will be fine if and when they are more healthy.

Mmmm, amazing that a great Patriot like Faulk would be a close friend with a POS like Moss.

Looks like another long week for Randy. Glad that Kevin has his back.

With fans like you........this team is all set. You are the POS lori.

The media likes to make a mountain of a story out of an ant hill. Especially with the easier targets like Moss. Can't wait to hear Felger tomorrow....he's been on Moss' azz since he got to NE.

One thing I do know, is that a seasoned vet in the lockerroom WOULD NOT come to the defense of Moss unless he deserved it.

A shot during the game showed Moss sitting all alone then Faulk came down to sit and talk. BFFS <3

make moss inactive and see how welker gets triple teamed. making no excuses for moss but he has had bad last few weeks. Everyone says he is lazy and not playing well . Why would he do that? There is no reason to.He has always liked bb/pats the fans. He is just not playing well. there is another hall of fame receiver in the name of marvin harrison who frequently dissappeared when the colts were in the players. happens to the best of them. he ias been nothing but a good citizen and the local media is taking special pleasure in magnifying a tough set of outings and generalizing it .just my opinion.

Too bad we can't just get rid of the dirty manipulative filtering middle-man that is the media, and let the players talk to the fans directly. I feel bad for Moss, and it was really disgusting to hear the boos from some of the fans today.

But hell, what do his teammates know, let's just pretend he's a dog faker or whatever it was last week

Given the way AdT was treated by the media over the tardiness, I'd say that this was a silly thing for Faulk to say, although his heart seemed to be in the right place.

How do you feel bad for a guy who played like he played today? He did not look motivated to play at all, he didnt want to be on the field. The usual conversations with Brady inbetween possessions were not there. He did not run his routes hard and gave up on plays that he was not involved in, even Gamble said he could tell when the ball wasnt going to Moss by the way he got off the line of scrimmage. As a fan how can you cheer for a guy who gave an effort like he did today?

No suprises here, expect to hear the same from Brady. If the team/BB wasn't behind him, he wouldn't have been starting

So you think Kevin Faulk is lying to cover up for his friend?
