Pats are inches away from being 10-3, and could easily be 11-2.

Only team that's beaten them up is NO, and BB does well against teams he faces a second time.

Yeah, they prolly won't get the bye, but, dangit, if Pitt can win a SB from the #6 slot, why can't NE do it from the #3 or #4?

Keep the faith, baby! :D

Great post! Finally, someone who realizes that anything can happen.

We have Bill Belichick and Tom Brady leading this team. Why would you ever count them out of contention for anything?

Agreed. BB and Tom Brady give us a chance in any game.

There are a lot of negatives about this year's team, a lot of things to work on, but with those 2, we have a chance.

I just want the Colts to lose in the Playoffs b/c they really are not that good.

Any team gets this offer my.... $$$$ is on the Chargers:)

I'm positive. I think they still have a shot of making the playoffs.

How this for glass half full?

Burgess got a freaking sack! Look out world!

I respect Burgess for reacting to being sent home by getting

the sack. He could have tanked it. We have to wonder if

Moss did the latter.

I think getting the #3 over the #4 is HUGE. I am super confident we can K.O the #2 seeded chargers in the divisional round.

Agree?

Confidence levels in divisional rounds
@ Colts- Low
@ Bengals- Medium
@ Chargers- High

Yes, I still have faith and believe in the team, but the reality is that we arent 10-3 or 11-2, we are 8-5, and you are what your record says you are.

We are in very good position to win the AFC East and get the #4 seed. Like you said anything can happen in the playoffs with Brady and BB.

With that being said we still have our fair share of problems and issues that need to be addressed. The first one being our star WR not playing like the all pro WR that he is. He looks very unmotivated our there and it is extremely frustrating for fans to watch as well as players. He needs to get his act together. Another issue is the OL play, yes they have had their fair share of injuries, but it has been an issue for us all season long. I have not seen Brady get pressured like this in any past year. Also our lack of WRs will catch up to us. Aiken wasnt active today, but besides Welker our WRs had 1 catch and that was Moss' fumble. We do not have depth at this position which is why teams can take Moss and Welker out of games and make us inefective. These things as well as a few more things on the defensive side of the ball need to be addressed before we can even think about a SB

Disagree. The Chargers are the team I would least want to play. They are a very dangerous team.

My order would be, Bengals, Colts, Chargers

i understand the feelings, but the Pats are also just a Leodis McKelvin brainfart and a Mark Clayton drop away from being 6--7, so let's not do the "woulda-shoulda-coulda" thing. It's just vacuous speculation and just about every team can wallow in it at this time of year.

I do agree that if the Steelers and Giants could win an SB from where they entered the playoffs, so can the Pats.

So, let's not think about what might have been, but about beating the Bills, Jaguars and Texans in the next three weeks and building some momentum for the playoffs.

One game at a time, but we should want to play the broncos and then the colts in the playoffs.

I think the team could have tanked it in the second half but they hung in there.

they had several calculated drives where they utilized the running game. if they can do this more consistently it gives me hope.

Agreed. I have tried to sound positive but I will admit I was livid watching the game. Just poor execution on offense which is strange and Moss looking like his mind is at some where else. And defense looking shacky at times against some no name QB....I actually wished Delholme would have played....he would have gifted Pats secondary with 4 ints....I think with key few players coming back healthy and running game looking actually awesome, this was a good game for them. Pretty soon, Pats will convince other teams the run game has to be respected and I can just see play action 50yd long bombs thrown to Moss(if he can get his head out of his you know where...). :singing:

Yea, chugging away on kool-aid but for good reason. Sure there are a lot of rooms for improvement but I'll be happy for today with a win.

I wrote about this team week's ago. But I saw the Blindside last night and I think it's funny watching Michael Oher, the man who could have been Brady's Blindside. You know the Brady that has broken ribs, a bad shoulder and a broken finger. All because the "genius" think Nick Kazur is actually a decent tackle. But the "genius" had to trade out of #23, can't spend first round money when we can have Ron Brace. You know Ron Brace who hasn't played all season. Nice work Bill, you reap what you sow. Same to you Bob Kraft. Go work on the labor deal you phony.

The Last Night of The Patriots Dynasty | Bleacher Report

Kazur plays RT, thats not Brady's blindside...

I like to think I'm a positive fan. But watching the game closely you can see all the very small errors out there. They are not major mistakes but collectively they hold the team back. A few good weeks of practice and some better health could change things.

I never thought I'd say it but Brady is a shadow of himself in the leadership department during the game. He's like a robot out there. Granted the guy is way banged up but he is nowhere near as animated during the game as he used to be. Why??? I stated in another post that Maroney has stepped up along with Welker and Faulk - perhaps the 3 of them can overcome the void.

No kidding. He would have started at RT like he is with the Ravens. But next year you could have moved him to LT.

Where do you start with this team? O-line, D-line. secondary.

Oher played LT for 4 or 5 weeks this season. Vollmer is our LT of the future and a pretty good one at that.

I would start with a pass rush for this team, either a DE or OLB

Agreed, the Bolts are rolling. The thing that always scares me most about the Colts is the timely PI calls.

Completely agee..... This is the only formula for success, IMO. Then I'll take my chances with whomever is left. This is of course all very speculative!

Another team who limped into the playoffs at 10-6, but wound up doing OK:

The 2007 NY Giants.
