Rapoport: Springs will be active vs. Panthers

Not surprising, really, since he's probably and Butler's been missing practice. If I see him do that stupid bicep flex after he gives up a first down again, though, I'm going to lose it.

My guess is he gets 2 interceptions and a forced fumble and Belichick benches him for the rest of the season without explanation.

Did he really do that?? (i can't watch all the pats game here in NY.)

If yes, how did even make it into the team that boasts itself of sensible players?

Springs looked fine early in the year when he was healthy and was one of the three corners getting all the reps, along with Bodden and Wilhite. If Springs is healthy again, the team will be improved.

I'm sorry, but I'm left wondering something. What happened to the idea of getting rid of all the bad influences? After all, Zolak reportedly told us that Springs was one of the 'problem' players.........

If every player who the media reported as being a problem weren't played, we definitely wouldn't have the 2nd most wins in a decade in the history of the NFL.

Getting rid of bad influences is all anyone can talk about this week. The team applauds this. After all, we might be talking about the red zone or punting on fourth down or 2nd half failures on both sides of the ball.

We posters have bought this kindergarten diversion while the team concentrates on winning this week.

Thomas has been on his way out for weeks. Belichick is now using him to best advantage.

There is no reason to bench Springs because Zolak thinks that he might have supported Thomas. What childish cap this all is.

Indeed, it is childish. The entire "There's no excuse" pattern of attacking AdT that we saw here all week has been childish, which Springs, Guyton and Moss being active will show quite convincingly.

IMO I don't think its a "guilty by association" situation. Springs was awful vs Denver. Maybe he just doesn't have it anymore. Maybe, like Galloway, just doesnt have the quickness necessary to play in this D. Maybe the plan was for him to be converted to safety and just didn't take. Maybe BB wanted him to play special teams and he squaked. The guy is a big corner who is 34. Its totally possible that he just plain isn't a good fit.

well we will see What Shawn can do this afternoon Things on the Defense side cant get any worse Can they?I HOPE NOT.
