Re: Herm Edwards:Defending belichick

Is it a sign of the apocalypse when Herm is defending BB? Still, nobody is more animated than Edwards.

Herm is actually the guy I thought of when this issue came up. Be a nice guy, a player's coach, and watch your team sink. If a player does not respect the coach and his plan, the team doesn't function.

Yes -- but I'm OK with that. :)

Herm is a very decent guy and someone who can speak from the heart. Too bad he wasn't the world's greatest game planner or play caller.

He says:
"BB is the bus driver. You may want to get off the bus at Copley, but this is an express bus with only one stop. Sure, you can open up a window and shout, but the people on the street, standing in the snow, think your some kind jackass screaming about being on a warm bus. Kids are firing snowballs at the bus, but the bus keeps rolling. Stay on the bus, the express bus, trust the driver of the bus, he knows where the stops are. And say thank you when you get off that bus cause there ain't no other bus in town with them steak lunches and afternoon massages. Yeah, that's my kind of bus."

The Herm knows about the bus

Interesting

thanks

That was about it in a nutshell, too. LOL

Re: Herm Edwards:Defending belichick

Odd analogy, but I get it.

Like the Seinfeld episode. BB is Kramer and AD is the purse snatcher.

Jerry- "You kept making all the stops?"
Kramer- "We'll people kept ringing the bell"

Why too bad? He was the coach of the Jets. It was great that he was such a bad game planner/play caller. You forgot how fantastic he was at clock management...

Too bad for him -- great for us. I miss him still (and Wanny down in Miami).

Hey... lay off Herm. He plays to win the game.

And he scooped up that bad exchange in the Meadowlands and ran it in for a score.

And he gets animated. Or anime'd. I forget sometimes which is which when I'm drinking. maybe he's an amine animal. As opposed to the Animals, who had a hit with "House of the Rising Sun".

Unlike "House", which has a guy who looks like an albino Herm Edwards as the main character. But he hasn't recovered a botched snap. Except that time with the nurse on an earlier episode.

But yeah... Herm's cool. I think.

Too bad Hunter Thompson's dead.

He would've loved the analogies. And the acid and bourbon c@cktails.

Ah well... It is what it is.

Please Sunday, hurry up. I need a win like a junkie needs a fix.

Sigh.

Well, now we know that Belichick is right. Herm Edwards agrees with his approach.

BB and the team have apparently been consulting with Herm on how to manage the clock and timeouts this year.
