Zo doesn't see how AD can dress and play on Sunday if BB holds true and does what's best for his football team.
Tanguay says reporters who were in the Patriot room yesterday when AD was giving his presser report how the whole thing was embarrassing. If you will recall Springs walked by and said a mocking "sorry" comment which Thomas replied "sorry Shawn".
Both these guys need to be sent packing if BB is going to save this team.

and what a big loss it would be to snuff these d bags:rolleyes:

BB has to know this by now. Why the **** is springs still on this team? Same goes with AD. They are a complete waste

Thatr's a very good question regarding Springs. Why he's even here is a mystery. Bet he won't be for long after yesterday.
I'd just tell AD to go home and stay there. Wouldn't put him on IR or anything. Just tell him to get lost and leave him in limbo until the off-season.
I'd rather play 3rd and 4th string players an lose with guys who care and try their best than play the likes of Adelius Thomas and get the same results.

So, a guy who does the RIGHT thing by watching the film and then calls into his employer to let him know he'd be late is, all of a sudden, a bad apple?

Anyone who lives in New England should damn well know how snarled the roads up there get when the first snow hits. Like clockwork, what should take 30 minutes can take 2 or 3 hours.. Or longer.

Because we don't know the REAL reason for those 4 guys being sent home, its hard for anyone to really speculate as to what the issue was.

What we do know is that Thomas will probably be gone at the end of the season, either by asking for his release or the Patriots showing him the door before he can ask.

I used to defend Thomas, but now he's acting like a spoiled little kid. Your coach tells you to show up BEFORE team meetings every day, and then two days later you're late and try to blame it on the weather... even though it's December, you live in Massachusetts, and the snow storm was all over the news.

I would've sent him home, too. I'd also bench him this weekend. He hasn't helped much more than Pierre Woods and definitely not Banta-Cain. Let Woods and Ninkovich step up and send this jackass home for the rest of the season.

Why did they think it was embarrasing? I also don't get the whole mock "sorry" thing.

Yeah, and that includes AD. He's an NFL player. He should have known what the weather was going to be like; it was impossible to miss. It's not too much to ask that he leave his house an hour or two earlier in order to get to work on time. 49 other guys showed up on time, and that doesn't even include the practice squad players.

Belichick's point is that AD should have been at the facility early anyway. That's what he expects of his players, and according to Bruschi, that's the way they've had success after losses.

the stupid thing about AD's response is that is was snowing out in the morning. I was out that morning and the first flakes fell in the Norton area at 4:30 am. So even if was unaware that night that it was going to snow out, you certainly would have known once you woke up in the am. You wake up, see the snow and realize that the commute to work may be longer then normal. So you leave early. Its that simple.

Whats wrong with you?...Are you actually an adult who has a strong work-ethic and feels that they have a responsibility to your employer, your customers and your family? ;-).

I know pro athletes are a different make and model than the res of us, by core values do not deviate from profession to profession.

AD should have taken responsibility for being late.....regardless of the situation or reasons, instead of openly criticizing the coach/organization. That is what a leader is supposed to do. There are always "reasons" or "excuses" that you can try use in every situation.

I believe he said he watched film when ordered home, not that he watched film and then left for work. He also claimed he kicked back on his day off, I assume while watching film.

When you were living in New England, didn't you check weather reports? I know I did. It has been known to snow in those parts, and snow has been known to add time to the commute. And I suspect, unlike us, he is paid roughly $500k a week during the season to report as directed over a 6-month period. As such, if there is even the possibility of your 2 hour delay, leave two hours earlier. To claim the snow "surprised you" after living in MA for a few years is fairly disingenuous. As would be calling while mired in traffic two days after being told to get to work early when 50 others manage to get to work as required.

Right now, the only actual support for the "bad apple" role is his public commentary, which reflects little accountability and direct shots at the organization. While I tend not to agree with the spin put on sparse facts by the media, his ridiculous statements are causing me to give credence to the media opinion in this case.

On route 1, that's a 15 minute drive. Rt. 1 is a well-travelled highway so it's not like they're going to waste any time getting it plowed and salted.

Maybe he was listening to the radio that morning to the no school announcements and was hoping that right after "Oxford" and "Palmer" and right before "Peabody" and "Pelham" the newsreader would sneak in "Patriots".

Reports are that BB talked about everyone on the team from coaches to players renewing their commitment and putting in the extra work so they can finish the season strong and win the division, this was on Monday. Then on Wednesday after that four guys are late?! That's a slap in the face of not only BB but to the rest of their teammates and coaches. It wasn't the blizzard of 1978, it was some snow. It was all over the news, plan ahead and make it to work on time. The players being late in unacceptable and to make matters worse this guy is making excuses. I didn't see any of the other 3 holding court. AD doesn't get it, seems like Ray Lewis was right about this guy.

Thanks, for that. Yeah, there is a cancerous tumor that is affecting the surrounding area.

Interestingly, these two overpaid non-performers are eating a chunk out of the cap.

Thomas

2011: $10,200,000

Springs

I think he watched the Jetsons.

I think he watched the Jetsons.

Precisely. While working up what he was going to say in his media session the next day.

I'll give him props for The Jetsons reference. If you had to wager on what his comments might be, picking that particular reference would pay off huge. That has to be up there with H.R. Pufnstuf for obscure references.

That's a good one.

My place of business does not cancel work unless Mass declares a State of Emergency. Then, and only then do they cancel work.
