Although RotoWorld says it was likely due to backed up traffic due to the weather . . . does anyone else feel like we're walking on ice that could crack at any minute ? It's just a feeling I get.

In Thomas' case, I think that ice has already begun to crack. In Moss' case, that's pretty much his entire career.

Just further proves Brady and the other vets weren't kidding when they talked (or didn't) about this team needing to fight harder and work harder.

Looks like BB is beginning the crack the whip. When was the last time that anything like this happened?

If these guys were sent home for being late today, its bordering on the silly side. With the snow and traffic, sometimes its unavoidable to be a bit late.

This season's team culture is uncharted territory for BB era Patriots teams. More than ever I believe a strong factor in the Sey trade was attitude. Apparently, the leadership and work ethic void left by Harrison and Bruschi's departures is deeper and darker that we'd realized. So far BB's efforts to deal with the situation have been ineffective. I take heart in that he recognized the problem and is working to resolve it. Sometimes even good management can't fix problems quickly. BB can't just change around some players. There needs to be some new, respected leadership in the coaching ranks as well for 2010. I'd kill for a Harrison type attitude and contributor as a 2010 FA. The misfire in signing AD has proven costly in more than dollars.

That's sending a strong message to the team, I wonder how late though?

Yeah, I don't have a name but I would expect to see a Harrison type signing this offseason. We'll see how this plays out over the rest of the season, it could be a jolt that helps or that breaks the ice. Regardless, it needs to be done it seems and sending Moss home is a strong message to everyone.

I have to agree, with you here. I'm all for cracking the whip, but the weather was terrible today kind of a lame way to make an example of people.

Well, this certainly doesn't give me any warm fuzzy feelings about what is going on behind the scenes. :(

Although, I guess TFB will have at least one practice where he will have to target someone else deep besides Moss for a change. So maybe that's a good thing? Sort of? Just looking for a bright side, here, people! :bricks:

Bingo. The only person who kind of gets a free pass from me is Burgess. This is one of his first terrible weather days in New England. Moss, Guyton and AD have all seen this many times before. Weather's bad? Leave earlier.

Burgess has no drive. he still has the Oakland mentality of just show up to get his pay check.

BB should not trade or sign any players from perennial loser teams. they are not used to winning and seem to be fine with it

This worries me because Wednesday is where you install the game plan. It's the most important day of the prep week.

How bad is the weather today? Were supposed to get hit with a storm this evening so it must be what's travelling up the East Coast.

Snow changing to rain, which will eventually freeze. Frozen, then liquid, then frozen fun.

Maybe the weather was a gift that provided a way to send a message while maintaining just a hint of cover... :D
