I don't think that Brady is playing as well now as when he had a poorer line and poorer receivers. Obviously, the OC and playcallers are not doing as well either.

Brady was okay in 2007 with Moss and Welker.

Moss and Welker are not the problem.
Great talent is never a problem.

It is the crappy coordinating and play calling that is the problem.

Moss and Welker make it easy for a lazy/dumb coordinator to keep a job much longer than he should keep it.

sac-religious to bring it up but even if the patriots weren't the only ones to do it.

Taping the defensive signals and applying them to a game plan certainly couldn't hurt, the o-line was rock solid and lesser wr's thrived.

Just saying.

Dumb question to ask....he had his best season in 2007. I think that answers your question

I would rather have the best OL in the league and average WRs than the other way around

Brady had a pretty good year in 2007 IIRC...

Yes he is. We would ALL be better QBs if we could through to Moss and Welker.

You must have been born after 2007. You think it maybe has something to do with a shredded knee and crappy offensive coaching? Maybe???

Absolutely. In 2007, Brady showed how great he could be with star receivers like Manning always had. And the OL was pretty good as well, though a big part of that was Brady getting rid of the ball quickly.

This year, there have been a lot of different factors, from the injury recovery to play-calling to poor line play.

Why is it sacreligious for a Jets fan to bring that up and say that?

Yes. It's the play calling/game management that's killing this team. In addition, the Pats staff are the only people that think they have all pros up front to throw 40-50 times a game and expect to win. Granted, there are times where Brady throws some pretty stupid passes, but he's done that his entire career. He just doesn't do it on a regular basis.

Yes. Brady is better with all-world receivers.

We love to lok back with fondness at the 03-04 champions. I know I do. But I remember more than one game that was won with no TDs at all ! Wasn't the Tedy TD the only one scored in the snowball toss, for example ?

The D was hot, so we might not remember all the low scoring that was going on. I prefered it, because it was winning football - but the offense was not clicking like it is now. What it DID do, though, was click at the end of the game when we needed it... but does Welker/Moss prevent us from second half scoring ? I say no.

ever QB in the NFL would be a better QB with moss and welker they are 2 of the best if not the best WR's in the NFL they are #1 and #2 in yerd's

but the best way to stop a top passing game is to get to the QB and teams are doing that keep hiting brady and you can hold the pats to 20 points and the pats D any one can put 30 on them

They stopped doing it at half-time of the first game in 07. The rest of that season he and the WRs were pretty good wouldn't you say? Just saying...
