Assuming they cost $20M and $10M a year what do you do ?

While this is a very deep QB year and we could trade up with two #2s for an interesting long term QB, I'm not going there. But it's viable to trade our two extra #2s for, say, Colt McCoy and trade Brady after next year.

Myself, I would re-sign Brady and let Moss play it out. Draft Golden Tate as he should know the concept of our offense already. Hope Brandon Tate comes through and in 2011 have Brady with Welker and Tate ^ 2.

BTW, after I draft Tate then it all OL and defensive front seven in the draft for me with our three #2s.

Re: Brady and Moss are UFA after 2010 so . . .

Brady is a Patriot for life IMO. Even if he continues to have 2nd halves like today it's hard to see him finishing his career elsewhere.

Moss I'm not so sure about. Love having him around but I think I'd rather see the $$ put into the defense.

Re: Brady and Moss are UFA after 2010 so . . .

Moss clearly isn't worth the money he is being paid.

Re: Brady and Moss are UFA after 2010 so . . .

Brady is allowed to have a bad year. He has at least 5 GOOD years in him. I like Moss, but I don't think he brings anything special to the offense. I much rather have 3 unknown hard working WRs fighting and scraping for every yard.

I am frustrated that in 07, we relied on a LB for redzone scoring from the TE position, however this year we can't get the littlest of production from full time professional TEs?

If Watson isn't going to be used in the Passing game, why did we keep him over Graham?

I feel Moss is being used as a one trick pony WR, and our team is weaker when we try to throw is deep once a drive. It shows weakness to go deep so often. It shows they aren't looking to ball for a drive, they just want to score quick and get off the field. I would like to see next game a game plan of no passes longer than 30 yards in the air even if they are wide open.

Force them to gut it out, and play physical. I have also noticed, and said in 07, the change in offense made this team weak, and it still shows.

Re: Brady and Moss are UFA after 2010 so . . .

Also - I assumed we'd get about two #1s for Brady and only about a #3 for Moss.

Trading Brady is not a good idea.

I really don't understand the Moss haters on this board. 68 catches, 1,058 yards and 9 touchdowns through 12 games doesn't do it for you anymore?

Yeah, he only has a 1,000 yard season in Week 13. Let's cut him!

Personally, I think Moss is gone after 2010. Tate seems like an interesting option, given where we will probably be picking, but I would rather have a bigger receiver in the mold of a Julio Jones or an A.J. Green. Brady is definitely staying after 2010.

Keep Brady, of course. That is a no-brainer. I think he is still dealing with issues from being out a year. I would like to keep Moss, but after next 2010, I don't think he will be a number one receiver at that time. If he would take less money, I would like to keep him and have him be a number 2 or 3 receiver. The thing is, without Moss drawing double coverage, would Welker be as successful as he has been.

"what have you done for me lately?" just about sums it up...

Most importantly, given our "success" rate with drafted WR, G. Tate already knows the simplified version of our offensive concepts; and he's a BEAST after the catch.

So you're going to judge him on a week by week basis? Cut Vollmer, the bastard didn't play today. And that Vince Wilfork is garbage.

EDIT: Not sure if YOU are advocating that, or you're explaining what people are thinking.

A long bomb in the 1st quarter is worthless when you need clutch plays to move down the field in 1:40 seconds for example for 3. Since Moss has arrived, Brady has lost the ability to work the field using whatever the defense gives him.

I want to keep Moss, but we need a comfortable 3rd WR, someone Brady havs no problem throwing too. I just don't like having obvious targets and the ball gets forced in obvious situations.

When is the last time Kevin Faulk had a 100 yard game? Ship his ass outta here!

Colt McCoy to replace Brady? LOL Sure, lets replace him with an undersized kid that has no arm and is suspected of being a system QB. I might just stop watching football if that happens.

He's also dangerous out of the backfield too.

I wasn't judging him myself, I was just giving you a possible reason for why there is hate for him.

One play doesn't make a game, one game doesn't make a season sentiment is lost on those complaining about his play.

That Brady guy threw an interception? Trade his butt to Cleveland!

My guess is next year is Moss' last year as a Patriot. He is have a good statistical year, but the last few weeks (other than the TD pass today) he has been totally taken out of games. He has been inconsistent all year with one week being a major stud (first Miami game, Indy, Tennessee, Atlanta) and the next being a dud (both Jets games, New Orleans, Denver, Baltimore, and today other than the one catch). He'll be 34 at the end of his contract too. I think he still has value to the team (although Welker has replaced him as being the best WR on the team), but I don't know if the value will last after next year.

Brady will most likely retire a Patriot.
