The silver lining

In 2004 the paTs lost to the dolphins in december with a late brady int and won the super bowl...... Haha jk i bet some moron was going to start this thread seriously.
Shame all around, bb needs
to revamp this staff, get a real personal guy. Brady has always had the d to cover his mistakes.

2003 afccg he throws a pick in the red zone. Panthers super bowl throws a
pick in the redzone. 2005 against the broncos throws a pick to bailey in the red zone.
2006 throws a picks to end the game against the colts

they are so bad every second half how can everyone not see this is a HUGE issue.

I hope BB has not gone shanahan on us.

nice try in 04 we were 13-1 going into that game. defense was holding people to about 13-14 points

I'm really starting to believe in the Brady Binky theory. He's locking in on Moss and Welker. It seems like the only time he hits other receivers is if its a play designed for it like a screen. I think its been 0 catchs for the tight ends the last 2 weeks

I've always said the difference between Brady with 3 rings and Peyton with 1 was the defense. Right now we are seeing the Pats and Colt's flip-flop. The Colt's finally have a solid defense while the Pats no longer are an elite defense. If BB doesn't fix this team, I wouldn't be surprised to see Peyton and the Colts go on to win 2+ Superbowl's in the next 5+ years.

Yes THIS PROVES NO ONE READS THE ORIGINAL THREADS

Ya I admit i stopped reading after the first line. Original post looked to long after opening line.

The tight ends are only part of this offense in name.

The only silver lining today is that Houston's quarterback got hurt.

I still wouldn't bet on us getting a W there. This team doesn't win games on the road. Literally.

I STILL BELIEVE IN THIS OFFENSE.

The problems are correctable. It all starts with the OL. We are still missing some pieces (Vollmer) and Light just got back from injury. I feel our march towards the AFC East championship begins next sunday. Mark my words, we will go 11-5.

Also agree that Brady is locking on to Moss and Welker too much. Need to get other options involved (That means Aiken, Watson, and Baker.)

And seriously, red zone offense sucks when our run gets stuffed. This is where we miss Vrabs the most, not on defense. WHERE THE F IS THE PLAYACTION TO THE TEs? Seriously, a fade to moss at the 5? Give me a more high % play please. Get the OL straightened out, better playcalling and brady speading the ball around and we will be looking good towards the end of the year.

Giving the opposing QB no pressure at all is the biggest problem IMO.Henne made some big plays after sitting in the pocket for 4 to 5 seconds.

It's week 13. You are what you are by this point 99 percent of the time. Save the 2001 comparisons, por favor.

Silver lining for me was that the game got flexed to 1:00. I'm so thankful I didn't have to stay up till midnight to watch this one.

So what were the Cardinals last year?

And you're pinning that on Brady?

There is NO silver lining. This team is not very good.

You are what your record says you are. One unlucky or weird loss, you can chalk it up accordingly. But 5 losses, with absolutely *DISMAL* 2nd half play, and an atrocious road record, and what we have with this team is a slightly above average squad. That's it. That's not awful, and most teams would love to be 7-5 and leading their division right now. But for us, being spoiled with all the Pats' success this decade, this is unacceptable. When Chad Henne passes for 335 yds, and you get outscored 13-0 down the stretch, with two 4th quarter turnovers, you simply are not a good team.

The Pats have a chance over the next four games to right the ship somewhat, but I ask all you Pats fans out there: do you have any confidence whatsoever right now that they can stop even a decent (never mind great) offense in the 4th quarter with the game on the line? I sure don't.

OK i just found the silver lining. It could be worst we could be Steeler fans. That board is having a bigger melt down than ours

No.

And worse, I am not sure if I will get that confidence even if we win the next three games. :(

But that is as of today. I reserve the right to change my mind tomorrow. ;)

2001 Pats 7-5, won SuperBowl.
2005 Steelers 7-5 won SuperBowl
2007 Giants 8-4 but finished 10-6 won SuperBowl

I think the Pats still win the East, win home playoff game and then who knows what kind of momentum they might be riding.

The thought of that just made me laugh for the first time tonight. :lol2:

You miss the gaping hole in your argument and that is those teams had a pass rush and a physical defense that made plays down the stretch. I hope this one suddenly morphs into that, but at this point, there's zero indication that will happen. Zero.

And that doesn't even account for the myriad of problems on the offense. This is not a SB team, no matter how much we want it to be so. Trotting out examples of teams that did it before doesn't count for squat other than merely highlighting the weaknesses of this one.
