Two major problems...

1. Take the 3 at the end of the first half. WTF!

2. Brady throwing a lob to the corner into double coverage. Why did they call that play? Once again the running game in the second half disappears in the second half. WTF!

Coaching cost us the game and has been horrible for several weeks now starting in Indy. I know we are spoiled and expect to win every game but this is getting very very very very tiresome every week. Remember the days when you were very confident to win every Sunday? Sadly those days are over and I am pissed. I am watching Bill hang his head right now...and he should be hanging his head. This one is squarely on him.

Also, six yard ins, outs, and hitches are this defenses kryptonite. (never mind the way we got torched last week). How many six yard passes did Henne complete to sh!tbum wideouts? I am not sure it was Henne actually because it might have been Joe Montana by the way he shredded our D-fense. He made a ham sandwich before he made most of those throws. He had forever to wait for the receivers to get open. It is nightmarish to sit and watch a qb stand in the pocket for 3-5 seconds. I used to think we have alot more talent than most other teams but after seeing a team with very little talent take it to us for 3 qutrs I am changing my position.

I am officially off the Whilhite bandwagon. He sucks. I keep saying to myself, "Well, the coaches trust him so he will come up big soon enough." Now I believe he will never come up big. Please take him off the field or just put him on the kickoff team.

What happens if we make the playoffs now? I think it is always worth getting into the tournement but I have no confidence beating Indy, Cincy, or San Diego. If we run into Pitt in a wildcard game I don't think we win either.

They are now asking Bill about his 4th down call. Please keep asking him why he would not take the three point chip shot. This game should not have been close and we played like a total embarassment after the first half. Total crap. Good thing it the sh!tbum Carolina Panthers next year.

As old school favre today. The bad picks and the lucky touchdown. That aiken td had no business even being a pass

Re: Inept Coaching.

Agreed the coaching has been awful this year.

The execution is poor but you know what it all starts at the top. This year has been riddled with poor situational play AND playcalling. Our talent makes up for alot of it, but coaching wise this is the worst maybe in all of BB's tenure.

- I just hope people stop labeling BB as a defensive guru because he isn't.

- I think anybody on this board manage a better offensive game plan than O'Brien.

- Dean Pees believes in using a 4 man line that can't pass rush.

I thought the same thing on the field goal. It made no sense to me. Also, we had no pash rush alsmost all game. Why did we only blizt at the very end. BB deserves a good portion of the blame for this loss.

I didn't say anything about Brady but he is different. When we had recievers that sucked he had to go through his progressions and find the open man. Now it seems he checks Moss and then dumps down to Welker (who fortunately is usually open.) In the fourth when we needed a big play Brady forced it to Welker in triple coverage. He needs to get back to making his reads.

Bill has done a good job of proving he is not a great coach. Since he lost Charlie and Romeo he hasn't done too good. Don't give me the 16-0 season either, that was an abomination, and it ended in defeat.

Maybe it's time to bring Charlie back....Or will his giant ego allow that? Bill's, not Charlie's.

think u mean abberation not abomination.

I disagree. He has made some poor decisions recently but he is great coach. You don't win the second most games in a decade if your not a great coach. He needs to do something different. We seem to be to predictable and it sucks. Teams know that on 3rd and 8 we are going to Welker. Teams also know that our corners will play to give up the comeback and the slant and they take advantage.

Key stat:

Pats had 448 total yards of offense, Dolphins 416. Patriots ran 54 offensive plays, Dolphins 80.

It's pretty easy to get yards when one has tons of talent, but just like that recent 'top 10 teams of the decade' list... the offensive juggernauts with predictable offenses can't win.

The Pats went to an AFC Championship and a Super Bowl in subsequent years. He got this team without Brady to 11-5 last year. Let's not throw Belichick under the bus. He is a great head coach and one of the best.

The Pats did go 18-1 and lost in the Super Bowl. It isn't what you want, but let's not make it sound like the Pats went 6-10. The year before, they were a minute away from going to the Super Bowl and probably would have won.

Sorry, as much as we want the Pats to win the Super Bowl every year or at least 2-3 ever four to five years, the reality of the NFL is that it is impossible for that to happen. Even before salary cap and free agency, stacked teams like the 49ers and Steelers couldn't accomplish that.

Belichick has done what you want from a head coach, he gets his team in Super Bowl contention virtually every year and has even won some. You can't name another head coach over the last 20 years more successful at that. Maybe we should fire Belichick and hire Mangini.

Belichick is having a bad year, but he has had some of his best coaching years past Charlie and Romeo because he was working with lesser talent in some of those years.

I AGREE! :rocker::rocker::rocker: Hit the Nail on the head here!

He doesnt have time to go through his progressions because his line stinks. There was a play when the dolphins rushed 3 and got to him. Its pathetic. Hopefully Vollmer gets in there so that they could bench Kazur.

Horrible clock management too. Too many passes stopping the clock and allowing the Dolphins to get back into the game. BB sucked for the fourth week in a row.

No excuse for not kicking the field goal. Period. That was just stupid.

Yeah what you said Atom your not so domb.

Pees and O'Brien have been in way over their head all season long. The comical act we are now seeing is simply a manifestation of that futility.

Not sure there is any point in making a change this late in the season but you can bet that neither guy will be around calling plays for the Pats next year.

I'm not nearly as optimistic about your last point. I think that's the problem with success. It can cause complacency. I think BB believes he can win with these two clods, and thus, they will be right back f'ng things up next year.

We have probably gone for more 4th downs than Herm Edwards has in his entire career in the NFL
