He's been talked of as a mini Brandon Jacobs with more speed. I think he'd be a good back to add and he can probably be had later in the draft because he hasn't really played this year. A combo of him and Maroney would really look good in our backfield.
The only thing he does is run a little too high sometimes. If he consistently runs low, he's going to be running a lot of people over.

I had the Pats taking LeGarrette Blount in the 7th round in my first mock. I'm not sure where his draft stock stands right now - he was a 2nd/3rd kind of guy at the beginning of the season, then dropped off many boards completely after being suspended. Most have him listed as a late rounder/FA despite his ability. I agree he would be a nice complement to Maroney.
Funny that all of us are high on Blout, he had a good game last night. Sorry to say but last night and the bowl game are going to move him back up to at least the 2nd round. He is big 6'2" with speed, reminds me of Dillon.
Nobody is really going to care about the punch by the time the draft comes around, basically most teams will look at it, as a lesson that the kid learned, and he took ownership of it, and now knows how to deal with adversity. Plus it took an entire year of wear and tear off his body, while he was helathy the whole year and practiced the whole year!
A 2nd round pick? I don't think so. 2 weeks ago he was graded as a UDFA by many. The character issue is a big one, and the higher you grade him the more it will be an issue.
But if he does go that high, he'll just push someone else down. I certainly wouldn't use a 2nd round pick on him at this point.
I don't think he'll go as high as a 2nd round pick either, but he could creep up into the 3-5 range. I mean Clarrett was taken with the last pick in the 3rd and he was out of shape, in trouble with the law, and out of football for a full year. Blount was suspended but stayed in shape, practiced, did all the "right" things and was reinstated, and he obviously has the talent. I think someone takes a chance on him in rounds 3-5 b/c the talent is just too good to ignore.
