Schefter just tweeted that Larry King will be the colour analyst on Sunday for part of the first half of the Fish/Pats game.

That should be... dunno.

Larry King ? The dinosaur ? I'd prefer Peter.

Obviously the network cares more about whatever it is they are cross-promoting, then offering a quality telecast with insightful analysis.

Hopefully someone will ask him if he enjoyed doing the Prejean and Seinfeld interviews...Not a King fan.

How could anyone enjoy lobbing softballs up to his guests? The guy is an absolute creampuff. I'd like to hear him ask one interesting question. Charlie Rose is a twit but at least he'll ask a tough question once in awhile. King is all about non-confrontation.

Mute it is then.

He'll certainly get better ratings than his CNN show, and every other CNN show for that matter.

Read Schefter's tweet though. He says for Miami's radio broadcast. Not CBS.

It's for Miami's radio network, thus not a telecast.

Oh God. For a second, I thought you meant that he was going to be the Sunday Night Football color guy and would be on the same set with Keith "Embers of Love" Olbermann. I really don't know if I could have handled that.

The Pats game is at 1 PM on Sunday. It got flexed out of prime time.

Now THAT is a relief. I actually like our 1pm Sunday guys over about every crew besides Monday Night Football.

I know. The original thread title was a little misleading (to me anyway) and made it sound like King was going to be on Sunday Night football from now on.

Miami's radio is one of the worst anyways, one of the guys practically screams into the microphone with every touchdown. I bet this is a Stephen Ross thing, right in line with LandShark/Buffet, Estefan/Anthony, etc.

Don't completely scoff at Larry King doing sports commentary. He started out in Miami and was a commentator for the Dolphins in the 70's.
