You can't send TE's out into their routes when they are helping the line block.

Graham and Fauria routinely helped the O-line block, yet were still in many red zone and TD plays.


It's a scheme and play calling issue that isn't even considering Watson and Baker in the playbook. Their catches earlier in the season were ad libs, they weren't even supposed to get the ball.

Are you kidding me? When you have the tight ends tied up blocking, no play by design is going to get them a huge amount of receiving yardage, no matter who the coordinator is. When the play by design is to have them included in the pass rather than blocking, then you'll get your receptions.. of which we already do.

Amen. And yet there are still stat whores here who point to the 27 points per game this 2009 offense gets, and even argue that O'Brien is a good coordinator doing the exact bidding of Belichick!!

The more realistic reality is that Belichick's hands are tied from hiring coordinators past a certain salary, and is forced to coach up his own sub-par coaches.

The 07-09 O-lines are better than anything we ever had from 01-04. It's not an O-line talent issue.

This is so much of a no-brainer its unreal - the playcalling utterly sucks. Put Watson with Indy or NO and he's catching at least 5 balls a game

The coaches HAVE to take the pressue off Welker and Moss and get other guys in the game - those years we won the SB we did so because we had an offense with lots of variations, lots of recievers. Now its shotgun, look for Welker, covered, panic, look for someone else, all while the OL is under huge pressure as the D knows we are always playing pass

Well, #3 WR is also a problem. By cutting Galloway instead of designing plays which incorporated his strengths, and then failing to adequately replace him, the team has given other teams an easier time of defending against the Patriots' passing game.

BB needs to hit home runs on all our picks for two years at least. We are not a team to be feared wherever we play any more....

Watson and baker are fine. They have indeed made key plays this year.

As I recall, Wiggins had one great game. It was in the snow, when the rest of the players were slowed down to his speed.

Question is...Without Wiggins making some clutch catches against the Raiders, do we win that game anyway?

It's only a problem because the coordinator refuses to incorporate tight ends into the passing game, and insists on passing 75% of the time with a spread shotgun formation.
