Can you say obsessed? It's funny that the Jets fans hold such a high standard for the Patriots and give their own joke of a franchise and nobody of a coach a pass week after week.....

The Jets fan with a Drew Brees avatar just sum's up this fanbase.....

Re: Just wow......

Yeah there are never any threads like that here about the Jets.

Re: Just wow......

I hate to say it, but I was REALLY disappointed in their decision to play out the game the way they did.

Me too.....

its the truth they give up with 6 min left cause BB knew that the saints would put 50 on he's D

Who cares? The Jets and all 18 of their fans are irrelevant. The Giants are New York's team. They will always play second fiddle to them in NYC. If the league ever decides to start "contracting" franchises, that irrelevant bunch ought to be first on the list of candidates.

You know what, I looked at it a bit differently. I think Belichick may have been punishing his starters. It had to be embarrassing to Brady, Moss, Welker, etc. to not only get beaten bad, but be taken off the field. I don't think that has ever happened to Brady. It might have, but since early in his career.

Personally, I don't care if the Jets fans complain. We complain about stupid things about the Jets like when they made all the former Pats players captains. It is the nature of these boards.

I think the classless scumbag stuff is a little over the top.

However, someone called a deep ball to Moss when the game was as good as over last week, after Revis had blanketed the so-called stud receiver all game, just as he's done to Andre Johnson, Steve Smith, Sims-Walker, T.O., etc. Maybe Randy and Tom made that call, but either way it was unnecessary....you rarely see anyone do anything like that, and when they do, there's backlash.

I also think Brady should have stayed in the game against the Saints, and not just because I needed the fantasy points....but I'm not impressed with the guy coming out any laying an egg on me like that...

Seriously though, Bill will play it off as not wanting Tom to get hurt by trying to make things happen in a game where they were unable to make much happen up to that point. Maybe it was smart, but with 5 mins left I think you give your superstar one more drive. Manning doesn't come out in that situation...

.

How many blitzers were coming on that play?

Blitzing causes hurt bodies. Long passes just cause hurt feelings.

How about having the former Patriots captains for the game and going out for the toss - including a 3rd string QB that's never played a down - Twice in a season?

"So-called stud receiver" - Really? You sure you want to go there? You might want to check the record books. The NFL record books - Not to mention video from the past 3 years. You got a outstanding player in Revis, let’s not get stupid.

Brady throwing to Moss was to shut Revis the F up - Nothing more. It did not work, if you think that's classless than I suggest you watch Golf - it's the Gentleman’s game, and played with respect you seem to desire. Football is a brutal game and Randy and Tom do not care about your feelings or the feeling of your fan base - and Bill just plain hates all of you.

Why leave him in a game you know is lost? You already know what he can do, so there is nothing to prove to him or the team. All you can do is get him hurt. On the plus side, you can put your rookie in and give him game experience. Had he left Brady in and he'd gotten hurt, we'd never hear the end of it.

Not sure about that -- have you read the news about Tiger Woods recently? ;)

Who was the stud in that game? There was just a little disparity between Moss and Welker. Is that because the best corner in the game covered Moss all day? probably had a lot to do with it, but it is what it is. And to defend the "so-called" statement, there are people with not affiliation with the Jets, and who have a lot more football experience than me, saying Moss is not the player he once was. He's still great, but no longer the unstoppable force he once was.

Like any star player, you need talent around you to be great. Look at his Oakland years. Welker helps Moss, and Moss helps Welker. They're a stud combo...I'll give you that.

All this stuff about shutting up Revis is ridiculous. He answered questions the NY media asked about Moss' post-game comments in week two. That's what the NY media does...they stir the crap. You think there weren't a few CBs around the league who wouldn't have reacted to Moss saying he could be a shutdown corner even though they didn't even play him that week? That's like Ovechkin claiming he could be just as good of a defenseman as Chara. Ridiculous.

I see it both ways. Watching the game, it was just a little early to me. Hoyer's a gamer though. Don't give him too much time or ou might lose him like Cassel.

You know what is lost on most people? The fact that in games that the Patriots have supposedly "Run up the score", the opposing team always still had their starters in there and were still trying to make plays. If the opposing team puts in the backup QB, then Belichick does the same. He did it in both the Titans and Buccaneers game this year. No matter what BB does, haters are going to to slam him, no matter what he does.

I was disappointed that Belichick pulled Brady when he did, but Belichick knows when he is fighting a losing battle. He probably thought, at that point that it was a good opportunity to get Hoyer some playing time in a hostile environment. The more game experience he gets the better, because if Brady goes down, Hoyer is our only option.

Well, I have already come to the conclusion that the "haters" are going to hate, no matter what Coach BB does. I, just like CBB am immune to it now. They are going to focus on whatever fits their "hate BB agenda" template. BB could rescue a class of school kids from a burning building, but if on his way to the school building, he got a speeding ticket, they would be focused on that, and do a week long story as why his driver's license should be revoked. PROPOGANDA is as PROPOGANDA does. It now rolls off me like water off a duck's back.

As I stated in another thread, I think it is possible CBB wanted to send a message to his starters that he was PO'd about their performance and slapped them down, in front of a national audience. That to me, would be an "attention getter", to have my coach psychologically "call me out" in front of the world audience like that. If that does not get one's attention, then nothing will.

Here's the real Revis for you:

Turns out, Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis(notes) just might get an invitation to the big birthday bash Terrell Owens(notes) is planning in New York City this weekend.

When informed on Wednesday that Revis had expressed no intention of showing up as a party-crasher, Owens suggested he just might deliver a personal invite.

“I’ll give him one after I score,” Owens told The Associated Press after the team held a brief workout at Toronto’s Rogers Centre, where the Bills (4-7) will face Revis and the Jets (5-6) in Buffalo’s second annual “home” game on Thursday night. “That’s when I tell him he’s invited.”

Revis might have something to say about that, though he was keeping his thoughts to himself in the days leading up to the game.

“Nothing,” said Revis, when informed of Owens' comments and the T.O. marketing blitz happening in Toronto. “T.O.’s going to be T.O., and Darrelle Revis is going to be Darrelle Revis, just got to go out there and compete.”

T.O. is a 35 year old adolescent.
