If the Saints and the Colts play in the SB, I would put Indy as an underdog by about two pass interference penalties. I hope Brees and Co. can cover that spread.

If it's NO vs. Indy then NO wins. If it's NO vs. Indy + the refs (as usual) then it's about even.

I’d just like to give everyone my warm wishes in this up coming holidays, and say it was a joy being aloud to post on your board and being at the game with other Patriots fans.

I was at the dome for the game and just got back. Me and my wife had way to many drinks with other Patriots fans in the French quarter, and I am here to report that you are a great fan base with respectable and football minded fans.

I spent couple hours with Tom Jenkins and we toasted each other QB’s with a shot of tequila with him and his wife Marg, ouch.
I spent some time after the game with Josh Mcdanalds and his family bumping fist and making sure they all had a good time. I have to say his daughter is wicked “ hope I got that right” cute but I knew in the end a Patriots family and a boy from N.O. would never work. I would constantly correct her on the word “soder” or “pop”. j/k You should see how we talk, hell I can barely spell. and I am married so that messes thing up,lol.

Any way had a good time posting here, know we had some mis communications , but it all seems to pan out in person, and you should be proud how your fans represented themselves in the city of N.O. We hope you all had a good time.

Every team has an off day, and I know that happened to the Pats Monday. Not excusing anything, good teams find a way to win, but I wouldn't rip your team apart for it. I really think it was just a simple misunderstanding of how we play ball and not enough preparation. I have said here before the Saints are better than the colts or vikings, Saints are just more complete, and I got some plak for it , and it was justified. But I do think this team is good and Brees is better than he has gotten credit for in the past.

Your going to be in the playoffs, period, and so are we. What ever BB has to do he will, and you’ll get your shot at us , hopefully. So buck up little camper you guys need to kick some Miami butt. And we have to see if this team is good enouph to go to the show.

Good luck in your run for the Playoffs Patriot fans , your a class act, and thanks for coming down.

good game.

You guys have a phenomenal team, QB, and coach. Hopefully we'll meet again in February.

Refs gotta be consistent..... Indy will not make SB btw....

Brees>Peyton

Oh, if it is NO vs. Indy, I look for the refs to watch their P's & Q's very carefully. The Saints are now the new "media darling" feel good story. If they try to help Indy, like they do so often against other opponents, look for serious media backlash !!!!

Thanks pherein, you guys have a great team. You beat us in every aspect, no excuses from me. As a resident of New Orleans, the town is definitely buzzing with Saints mania. Good luck to you the rest of the way. You have a chance to do what we could not complete two years ago, to go 19-0, and make the '72 Dolphins story irrelevant.

Saints fans are AMAZING. Partied with some awesome cats on Frenchman St last night. I literally had "consolation" drinks coming my way the whole evening. Happy to say, "southern hospitality" is alive and well.

That's awesome. Good for those Saints fans.

This Saints team may be the best team I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Just amazing on offense, fast and opportunistic on defense. They are amazing. I'm fortunate to be able to attend the playoff games and I hope to see them raise the NFC trophy on the 50 yard line. I hope the Saints do what we couldn't and go 19-0, unless they play the Pats in the Superbowl, that is.

It's a fun team to watch (unless your playing them) - lots of big plays on both sides of the ball, but well coached with really good fundamentals too. Most fun non-Pats team I've seen in the BB era.

Sean Payton gave up $300K of his own salary this offseason to hire Greg Williams as DC. That's a real statement of how committed the HC is to winning. If I were Tom Benson, I'd make sure he gets every penny of it back.

If it can be done (19-0 that is), I would much rather see the Saints do it, rather than Indy. I just hope Indy loses this week, so they don't tie our regular season consecutive wins record. I am so sick and tired of seeing them pull games out of their @$$e$. That "horseshoe" on their helmet is more fitting than anyone knows right now. Straight up, and game called fair and square the Saints should run Indy right out of Miami Stadium, should SB come down to those two teams. I feel rather sure the Saints will be there for the NFC, not so sure about Indy though. Despite our woes right now, I like our chances to represent the AFC as much as any of the rest in the AFC pool.

Yeah, the AFC is wide open. I like Cincy to come out of the AFC right now, call me crazy but they have two big games coming up with Minnesota and SD and if they can win those I think they take the conference. Also, SD has been lights out recently, and we know they'll beat Indy if given the chance.

Good luck to the Saints as well but I doubt they need it. You guys are looking like an all-time great.

Thanks for the gracious words, Pherein. You guys were the classiest guests we've had all year, and the classiest (and by far the best) team we've faced. Welcome back anytime.

Awesome performance by the Saints Monday night. Phenomenal job. I was particularly impressed by your lines on both sides of the ball - I expected terrific play from the playmakers, but you whupped us on both sides of the LOS. It was as good of a good old fashioned ass kicking as I've seen us get in a while, and will hopefully serve as a wakeup call.

The Monday night loss doesn't hurt nearly as much as the other ones this season, because while we didn't play well, the Saints were clearly the better team. I have no problem losing when we get outplayed. The other games this season were all winnable, and we gave them away, which hurt much more.

Hope you guys don't peak too early and make it to the Super Bowl. We have a lot of work to do if we want to have another chance at you guys, and even more if we want to be competitive. Not sure if we can get it done, but I think we'll be better than we were Monday night. Wish we could have made it more of a game.

If we don't see you again this year, hope you guys win it all, and maybe even go undefeated and finish the job we couldn't in 2007.

Again, congrats on a phenomenal job, and welcome back anytime.

MC

Nice of you to say, but I think the class trophy goes to the Patriots fans on this one. They were the model of how you conduct yourself on -line and in N.O. I never meet so many women from an opposing team that knew so much about football, lol. I hope the few nut jobs that got in here didnt taint anyones view of our fan base, and we corrected a few fans in the big easy about given Pats a hard time after the win. So I hope everyone had a good time.

Ya , if you dont mind I would like to comeback and chat abit, it was really interesting viewing your post mayo and chatting with you guys , you know your football.

Again thanks about the team the OL is one of the most underrated we think and we were lucky to get ellis and fujita back for the game. Was kind of an ass woopin, but I posted 46-24, which was pretty wrong on our score, lol. Saints play ball very very fast, they line up and move quick, I think this gives us an edge, I dont think most teams really get how fast we play till we get on the field.

I dont agree with taking brady out of the game thow, an offense like yours can turnaround in 8 mins and put up a world of hurt. I think they needed to stick it out, but what do I know.

Ya this isnt much of a loss for you guys, and as I always say , I hate playing teams the second time, because now they get it, so next time might be ours to get a ass woopin.
Our next game is verse the redskins, might seem easy, but its not, there defense is probably the best in the NFL ( with the time they are on the field) and they hurt people, plus Brees cant play in weather, it will be 30 degrees windy and raining.. yikes.

I like paytons one game at a time attitude so I dont think we will peak, injuries are a problem thow. I think your best game against us is about to come, I know you guys will be in the SB and the mannings have a high gag reflex, if you know what I mean.

19-0 no way, lol , WE ARE THE SAINTS for god sakes, we dont have a history of choking just bad breaks and bad teams. I hope payton cares more about the end and less about winning 19-0 , Id like to see Mark Brunell start vs the redskins wouldn't that be a stitch :) Were just going to enjoy the ride and hope, thats our motto :)

Thank you all for all the kind words and Go Pats GO , we want a good SB this year.

You're too kind.

I'm just a regular old poster with no official status, but I'm sure that the vast majority on this board would welcome your participation anytime. Many posters here just like to discuss football with knowledgeable folks who don't have an axe to grind. And most here can appreciate a truly great performance by another team, even when it hurts. The Saints walked the walk, so they have the right to talk the talk, and to their credit they are just moving on and focusing on the next challenge.

I agree Washington could be a stealth game for you guys, but I'm sure Payton will have the Saints prepared (he seems to have borrowed BB's recipe for "humble pie"), and Williams knows their defense better than most. The cold could be an issue - it would have been fun to play you guys in Foxboro in December or January.

If we are fortunate enough to meet again, I think the biggest advantage we will have from the first meeting is that we will have a better idea of your team speed, and know what to expect. But defending it is a whole different problem, and unless we get better pressure on Brees it won't make much difference. Brady could take a few lessons from Brees looking off receivers and juking the defense out of their shoes (he used to do that much more, but now he tends to focus way too much on Moss and Welker, and as good as they are, having 5 targets is better than 2 any day), but in the end Brees wouldn't have been able to do all of that if he was running for his life.

As for the women on this board knowing a lot about football, can't argue with that. Patchick, Defense Rules (aka "LadyPatsFan"), Patriot Pam and several others are among the best representatives of this board.

Comed back soon. And if we don't make it to the SB, go 19-0 and Squish the '72 Fish. :D

I have no hate for the Saints, even after that beatdown on MNF. Good luck the rest of the way and please for the love of god, don't let favre get to the super bowl!

I don't mind Favre getting to the Super Bowl as long as we are there to have the satisfaction of beating him. But otherwise I wouldn't want him to even get a shot.

Not going to agree with this, friend, I think Farve is not better than Brees right now, and the Vikings are not a completely better team. It would not be fair to not give us a shot at you in the SB and not fair to the Pats to not have them get a chance for payback:)

Never said that the Vikes were better than the Saints (they're not, but they are dangerous with a good pass rush and a good running game) or that Favre was better than Brees. And I'd be thrilled to play NO in the Super Bowl. But I can't stand Favre, and I'd sort of love the opportunity to spoil his party, if you know what I mean. That's all.
