Oh no, now most kool-aid drinkers are going to have a sigh of relieve and start preaching "In Bill we trust". Sorry Bill, for most of us, your tricks won't work anymore. As you say Bill, "It is what it is", and the defense just isn't very good.

Here is a SCARY thought....

The Saints only had 50 offensive plays last night.....thats right,ONLY 50 offensive plays....kind of tells the nature of our defense against high powered passing teams.

Last time I heard that was in 2002 when the run defense was a sive and BB said that there was a combination of technique and alignment issues that are easy to fix.

So when is BB hiring Karl Rove to spin this one?

It's the defense they've got and the one they'll have to finish the season with. The fairweather among us have the luxury to not watch any more games, but Belichick isn't going to tune out, he has to keep working to make the team better. And I'll keep watching in the hopes of seeing some improvement.

A year later, the same D went on to win the Superbowl.....

OK, let's fire Belichick. After all, most of us think his tricks won't work. When a coach's "tricks" don't work, it's time to show him the door.

True, albeit minus Malloy and plus Harrison and a couple of draft picks.

A young defense coming off a fun outing against the hated JETS broke ranks and bit on sells and blew coverage. That happens with young defenses.

Not quite..

Ted Washington-DT
Ty Warren-DT
Tyronne Poole-CD
Rodney Harrison-SS
Eugene Wilson-FS

Well he better let Pees know what those woes are:

From same link:
We had more missed assignments than we’ve had in almost all the other previous games combined. I don’t know exactlyI’m trying to find out what the factor was to that so that I can remedy it and fix it as a coach. So you know, I just think we just did not play well, for whatever reason. And like I said, that’s my job to find out what that reason is.

That's comforting to know that our DC needs is puzzled makes me feel awesome about our DC.

As bad as it was last night, and it was BAD, we'd only allowed one 40+ yard completion all year going in and we've faced some good QB. It's never as good nor as bad as it looks and the pass defense is not that bad although it was last night.

And the pessimists will continue to ignore history, where teams are not always who they appear to be in week 11.

Our defense is not great, but neither was the Colts' in 2006. I'm not prepared to give up yet. Don't really care if you do though.

I know, why would anyone just GIVE UP!? WE are fans! It's not like WE play the games. Anything can happen.

Correctable... by firing Pees.

Is it me or was the Saints defense just spectacular last night. Agressive, dominating coverage, great pass rush. Then our defense played with what seemed like less intensity than I've seen so far this year. Again though, it is really hard to stop PERFECTLY executed plays. In the post game show they showed a few plays where the D covered it well, and the Saints just made a great play. They executed their highly productive offense in a near perfect manner. They brought their A game and we did what we could! I don't really know what else to say.

We got to give Brady more time, and get at the other guy. Games are won in the trenches.

Pats have their issues, but the Saints were FLYING. They were supremely confident going into that game- and it showed.

Dear Bill,

1- Are your offensive woes mostly correctable too? I thought 60 physical practices during TC + 9 games + your 'genius' would solve all the woes. I guess that you are still working on it. Please tell TB, yourself, and your offensive caller to get your sh!t together ASAP because it doesn't look good.

2- As a 'genius', you should have known all these 'woes' before hand while you straighten out your 'future' draft picks. Are you sure that you put your 'prioprity' in a right place? What the hell had you and your staffs done during half time? What happened to your half time adjustment? With your reputation and past accomplishments, why have we still seen these 'woes' in the second half???

3- I'm tired of hearing the term 'correctable' games after games. It is really pathetic to hear it AFTER we lost. What it counts is you 'correct' the 'woes' during the game NOT after the game BECAUSE anybody can watch the tape and see what are wrong.

BB, are you a football coach or a NFL 'commentator'???

He's talking correctable as in coaching. You can't coach up a player much during the game. They need to get the secondary smarter and coach them up so they have better ball-skills. They need to find a way to pressure the QB with the front 4 because it just isn't happening right now. I'm not afraid that Belichick can't figure this out, I'm worried that the talent just isn't there.

Dude

What's with the hate? Their record is 7-4, that's a 63% winning percentage. If you think you hear "games after games" you are truly stupid.

Actually, considering your posts today. you really are stupid.
