He has been given a few chances to make big plays and I can't recall him succeeding once. He has a leg but he doesn't make big plays when it counts...We will need them in the play-off/SB.

After that craptastic game you started a pointless thread about the damn kicker?

You're really searching for someone else to blame for this loss...

He missed a 50 yard FG, missing it doesnt make him not a clutch player.

I will say that his kickoffs werent as deep as other games this year, but that had nothing to do with the result. The Saints would score even if they started on their own 5 the way Brees and our D played tonight.

Watching Gostkowski kick FGs is analagous to me taking a plane trip in a torrential rain storm-I pray that I get there safely and cross my fingers thinking the plane will land safely. Thank goodness we haven't put Gost in a situation where he needs a game winning/game tieing kick. I remember he hit a 25-30 yder to tie that 2006 divisional game in SD. But he's been a lucky kicker in his 3 years here as he's never been tested. Never have we needed a 40-50 yder from him to tie a game or win it. I hope it stays that way. There really is no lock down kicker like the 01 Vinatieri in the NFL anymore.

of all things he picks on the "ghost" in a game when field goals mean nothing.
TD's were everything needed in this game..... we did not score them.

No, it's borderline mentally ******ed now...

You are a funny guy, You do realize you have a right to ignore a thread if u dislike it. When you ignore it, it has a better chance of sinking to the bottom of the page. Its just my opinion and maybe it is a daft opinion and maybe it isn't. I guess we'll deal with this issue when it comes. :)

Until he proves otherwise we have to believe that Gost can do it when the chips are down just like any other player.

HUH??? Do you REALLY think that hitting that 50 yard field goal would have changed the out-come of the game?

You missing my point. Do you think Brady not throwing a pick would have changed the outcome? Yet people talk about it.

Gostkowski ONLY owns the franchise record for highest made FG% and has a strong leg for kick-offs. I assure myself with stats and reality, not superstition. There is no logical reason to not have confidence is Gost.

Gost FG kicking is inconsistent.

He misses alot that I can remember. Usually in big games. No wonder BB likes going for it on 4th down now. He has no faith in Gostowski

Sure I understand you have the right to an opinion and what not. But what do you expect? Gost had nothing to do with this game...Even if he did have an effect what would you want to see done at this point in the season? Gramatica, Vanderjagt........

why do ppl start this nonsense after getting raped?????

Ghost is no Adam Vinatieri (when Vini was w/ PATS), but Ghost does not deserve this thread at this time.

at the end of the day, Gostkowski was not the reason the team lost today

FGs didn't mean squat today, but Gost hasn't been too stellar. Gostkowski is kicking 40% in fgs this year from 40-49 yds. That my friends, is not getting the job done. Now I know why we went for it on 4th and 13!
