I mean he was only like 60 yards away from a record (6 games in a row 300+ yards, or something like that). There was still like 6 minutes left, he coulda gotten the 60 yards, why not let him get the record? I mean sure the game was out of hand, but I rarely ever see any team benching their starters due to a big loss. Hell even the Titans played their starters till the end.

I don't think Brady gives a **** about that worthless record. Certainly BB doesn't.

Re: Dont get why Brady was benched

The only meaningful thing that could have came about him staying in the game was an injury

Sure, then we could listen to ESPN all week about how Brady has a season ending injury and why he should have been on the bench with 6 minutes left in a blowout.

Records? The only record that matters right now is 7-4. Remember 16-0? Oh yeah that's right no one cares anymore.

I fully agree with the call. We don't need Tom Brady to get Injured. Give Hoyer some minutes and don't do anything stupid to hurt any starters. I don't think Brady cares about anything except for the team, it's record, and improving for next week.

You play like the dirty Sanchez, you get benched.

There was nothing to be gained from leaving Brady out there (and a fairly obscure passing record definitely counts as 'nothing' in my book given the way tonight went in general).

It is called saving your troops for another battle, after defeat is imminent. I think "Attila the Hun" initiaited that strategy. No sense in getting Brady hurt. We have 5 games to go.

Sorry, you only go for records when you have the game in hand. If you are playing like crap and getting totally outclassed, you don't go for records.

Good one! Wicked funny!

I do not blame the saints fan for his comment , but fans like you are the reason why players should not be loyal to teams. Brady should go to the highest bidder or the Patriots should trade him. See how good the Patriots are then. They were 11-5 last year because the schedule was weak.

You're kidding. I mean, that's, like, "tongue in cheek," right?

I thought he should have stayed in, that was like giving up too early

I guess I should have put the neon 'Sarcasm' sign out, or maybe you should get a clue.

While I do agree with that (somewhat), how often have you seen starters benched due to getting their butts whooped? In the Titans game, down 59-0 till the end of the game, they still had all their starters in if I remember correctly.
