Missed the defensive snaps thread last week, but do not recall seeing him play for the last two games... are they holding him out for the stretch run?? Are they going to limit him for the 6 games he said he had left?? Or are Guyton and Mayo playing so well he is not needed right now??

Any ideas...

Junior was brought here for leadership and as run D help. Made sense not playing against Indy. Thought he'd play this week cause the Jets run the ball but instead he stood on the sidelines all game with the warmup cloak wrapped tightly around his chilled CA frame. The LB kids are playing well. I sat behind the Pats D bench Sunday and watched team leader Mayo go over to all the DBs and congratulate and rally them early in the game. Mayo has reached the apex of leadership despite being a 2nd year player. The DBs love the guy.

I heard on sports extra last night that Jr had made a speech last week and had been teaching the kids about how to get over losses. They brought him in as an extra coach who can and will play later.

Suspected all of this... just nice to have him on our side, particularly as we have so many young un's... remember Tom Curran labeled these guys "bridge players"...

He is also a backup ILB, and would go in if one of our ILB starters get hurt.

I've been looking for him each game too but I agree, Junior's real value is his leadership and his approach to the game and that he totally buys into BB's approach so he's the perfect tudor for Mayo.

Perhaps they are holding him out now to have him fresh in the playoffs, I don't know. I'm thinking all hands on deck next week though so maybe we'll see him then.

Hes a good luck charm. The pats have won 23 of the last 24 games hes dressed.

I'm not sure we will see him next week. I thought that we would see him this week vs the Jets. His strength is stopping the run and the Jets are a dominant running team. He didnt play against the Dolphins because of the Wildcat and Seau is too slow to get outside and cover it. He didnt play against the Colts because he couldnt cover their RB's and TE's. I dont think he will play this week since the Saints are a pass first offense. I am wondering if maybe he is sticking to the 6 games that he said before being signed. He could be valuble in the playoffs if we happened to face a team like the Steelers. With all this being said he definitely provides leadership in the locker room and on the sidelines which definitely helps the young defense that we have.

He's insurance. Experienced depth is a nice luxury.

Have Pees sit down and let Junior take over the defense,he has seen it all.

You will see him down the stretch no doubt about it, he said he believes he has about six games in him.

He's a leader..amd a backup to play if needed...I am sure he will get into a few games, but he said he had 6 in him...and he has played ahainst Tenn and TB....but DNPs in last 3...Not a problem at all..as one sai..he's 23/24 games...which is not bad at all...He will help the D by being there and keeping them steady...and that is really needd...

healthy guy for playoff rotations maybe?

No way he plays vs NO. Too much speed on that O.
