This = most excellent.

Moss = :steamed:

I sure hope that Moss lights up the Jets on Sunday.

In seven meetings against the Jets, Moss has only had one good game (week 1, 2007), and that happened to be Revis' first game ever. Moss has been shut down for the most part in every meeting since.

I really want to see him torch one of the league's best corners. If you recall, Moss didn't have a good outing ealier this year against Revis, and was held in check against Champ Bailey too.

He would've had a better game against Denver if Brady wasn't off, so I wouldn't entirely put that on Moss. Plus Moss has had good games against Champ Bailey in the past. But regarding Revis, you're right, he's done a very good job on Moss since the 2007 season opener. We'll see what happens this sunday.

It had everything to do with Brady and very little to do with Moss.

Brady had a terrible game.

Last meeting in week 2 it was an easier game plan for RATS on D with no Welker as far as Covering our receivers. But now we'll see with Welker back, "O" clickin I see many different formations & looks Moss gives Revis. Bart be careful of that flash across middle. With Brady that much better now I'm sure we'll see Brady2Moss down sidelines deep at lease 1 time for a big gain or score.

I agree, however, Moss has only 5 games against the Jets ( with NE).

what i dont want is brady and moss trying to prove a point and throwing into coverage .just throw to welker 15 times and move the ball and score in the RZ.

Lets break this down.
The first game (week 1, 2007) he dominated to the tune of 183 yards and 1 TD.
The 2nd game of that season came during a wind/rain storm, he only had 5 Rec for 78 yards, but the weather certainly made it extremely hard to throw the ball deep.
Game 3 came in week 2 of 2008. It was Cassel's first start of his career and we all know how much he struggled to throw the ball deep. Again, there was really nothing Moss could do, Cassel simply couldn't get him the ball.
Game 4 week 10, same situation. Cassel was hitting the short/middle stuff but still had trouble with the deep ball.
Game 5 week 2, we all know how ineffective our game plan was. Brady had no time in the pocket, there was a lot of confusion, and he simply didn't look sharp. There was no way Moss could have had a big day in those circumstances.

Outside of NE, in the 2 games Moss faced the Jets, one was with Oakland when Marques Tuiasosopo was the QB and the other game was in '02 (4 rec 86 yards), a game where Culpepper throw 0 TDs and 3 INTs.

Once you look below the surface you will realize that Moss's "lack of success" vs the Jets really has NOTHING to do with him.

Thats why I say throw out 1st meeting back in week 2. Brady was rusty thats no excuse. D was finding an identity. No Welker to balance things out although I thought Edelman stepped in an did a decent job In WW's place but he wasn't goin to put fear in Rats D. At that game I thought I saw Bledsoe running routes lol Different circumstances this time around. Anyone know weather forcast for Foxboro Sunday besides flurries of passes by Brady?

Randy would never let that punk shut him out for a game.
People forget just how good Randy is-most corners will tell you.

Randy can change games and I expect more double teams because he and Tom are going to start to explode.

It's punishment time.

Moss gonna show him up this Sunday. Don't forget what Scott said after the first game also. Why are they so stupid to talk **** about Moss? I hope he destroys em.

You know, I honestly never "worry" about whether Moss has a big game, because it's not really up to him. For me, I think it's about the O-line, Brady, and playcalling. If they call good plays, the O-line gives Brady time, and Brady makes good throws, Moss will have a big game. If that consistency isn't there, he probably won't. A WR's production is a function of the QB. For me it isn't a question of whether Moss can get open, it's a matter of whether Brady can get the ball to him.

Brady had alot to do with that unfortunately.

100% agree. There are a lot of WRs that you have to worry about- mostly ones that have iffy hands or who can't reliably get separation. Moss is not a worry in either area. Moss only gets held in check when, for one reason or another, another element of the offense fails to do its part.

Yep. Brady is very clearly back and I hope we let him air it out early and often if he gets open looks, which I'm sure he will. Last time we all saw Moss go into a game pissed off, it was against Pittsburgh in 2007... and we all remember what happened then.

"MAH JOCK... YOU CANNOT HOLD IT!"

Moss was not suppose to do well vs. INDY.....:eek: Look what happened.

Indy was short on DB's like we were on the D-line

averages and patterns do not say much and are over-hyped.

Any given SUNDAY things occur sometimes differently than anticipated.

Revis or no Revis... I expect Moss w/ a 100yd plus game and 1 TD

What annoyed me most about that first game against the Jets was the poor offensive play calling. I don't recall Moss ever being utilized in some short passing plays or crossing routes to create some separation.

I would have to say that for the most part Revis backs up his talk, then again Moss is one of the best.

I think the Pats will throw away from Revis, he is quite good.
