I really think this guy got lucky because of BB's call last sunday... because i think he looked out of his depth. He had this confused look on his face the entire game, and how the **** can you play cover 2 against Randy Moss, just go back and watch highlights from 07, there are only like 2 corners in the league that can cover Moss so what chance does a safety have?

He's lucky to have Peyton, because he covers up most of the Colts weaknesses. But going on what i watched sunday i would not feel good about this guy if he was coaching my team in the playoffs.

I agree with you WelshPat. For mine, it looked like Peyton was coaching the team and doing as he pleased. Caldwell looked as if he was riding on Manning's coattails.

If he goes down that road, Manning is going to be one hell of a coach given the right situation.

I agree. The best thing Caldwell can do is stay out of the way before he hurts his team.

Jim Caldwell= KC Jones

Agreed. Tony Dungy was lucky to have Peyton Manning. I saifd this at the beginning of the season, but if the Colts run into some difficulties at some point, how long will it take before manning throws Caldwell under the bus too.

Caldwell is a figurehead. Simple as that. My dog could coach the Colts to victory since Manning calls all the plays.

yes, Caldwell got lucky 9 times in a row this season.

Another reason why peyton manning is the GOAT.

How many players "carry" coaches?

did montana ever carry Bill Walsh?

I completely disagree. Their team is less conservative and more multiple on defense. He is however fortunate to have Mudd and Moore around. That's the real story in Indy. Consistency for jughead!

If Dungy is the coach they don't send 6 and Brady hits Welker over the middle Sunday night. Granted Manning carries that team but CAldwell has some input. His best comparison is Doc Rivers.

Its funny because if any of us was the headcoach, we could get 10 wins with this team, seriously.

Offense: Go have fun Peyton, bye.

Defense: Cover 2 all day, weee.

-----------

Thats the colts right there, no coach needed.

Manning gets to call the shots on offense so the coach isn't really necessary. I don't think he "carries" Caldwell or that he "carried" Dungy. Somebody has to tell the defense to run Cover 2 after all. :D

Your fellow fans disagree.

See if I have this straight. The Colts and Jim Caldwell are undefeated and their defense ranks with the best as having one of the lowest points allowed, because of cover 2 and he's lucky. Is your last name Simpson, because I've pretty much figured your first name.

The Colts and Jim Caldwell are undefeated because they have Peyton Manning who does the whole offense, while defensively they sit in cover 2. They faced horrid offenses and the 3 that were decent, Miami pounded them with the run, texans aired a little, and NE torched them.

I'm complimenting Manning, what more do you want. ;)

Caldwell didn't lose the game. What else do you want out of him?

As for the Dungy wouldn't be anything without Manning thing. Manning wouldn't be what he is without Dungy. It's the same thing with Brady and Belichick.

Exactly. Manning was no MVP under Jim Mora. Dungy made all the difference.

Moore and Manning run the offense. I don't know who their defensive coordinator is.
