OT: Jay Mariotti slams BB

they slammed jay marioti on around the horn. the other three actually agreed it was the right call. bottom line is BB knew his defense better than anyone in the world. He knew they just didn't have it last night late in the game, especially with all the injuries. I would have punted but I respect the decision.

yeah, read thru half of that article and decided I really didn't wanna read anymore. Its just a BB hating article.

yeah he hates the pats anyway...he was one of the guys who said shula was right about the * next to them in 07. i dont pay attention to the guy usually but i look at a lot of things about the patriots.

I must have missed Mariotti's successful sporting career.

There was a mega ESPN poll asking what would happen if the Pats had punted?

53% said Colts would have won the game

47% say Pats stop em

I thought that was an interesting number. This country has no faith in our prevent defense either. But that moron Dilfer does

There were alot of polls in the media today. They agreed that BB made the right call. They (me too) felt the Colts wouldve scored, and probably run out the clock. It was ballsy, but i think he did what he felt was right in those circumstances. Bottom line, our offense should be able to pick up 2 f'n yards.

I was surprised by that poll considering how biased against the Pats most of those polls are. I still think it was the right call, just wasn't executed well.

If dilfer was the QB for the colts, the pats would have punted.

I hate Jay Mariotti, He is all that is wrong with sports reporting in this country anymore.

I wish he would roll over and become a mute.

Mariotti is an expert on stupidity. I guess we have to defer to his expert opinion.

absolutely. the only mistake BB made in that sequence was in not telling his D to let the Colts score on their first play from scrimmage after the Pats turned the ball over on downs. that would have given TB the ball with 1:30+ left on the clock, plenty of time for him, Moss, Welker and Faulk to get the ball inside the Colts 40/35 for an indoor kick by Ghost.
