Vote now! Great coach or Greatest coach of all time? You know my vote :cool2::cool2:

one game wont tarnish the answer...GREATEST

Part of being the greatest coach is having huge cajones and doing unconventional things. Belichick has always been a gambler. Most times it pays off. Live by the sword and die by the sword. A lot of other coaches like to play it safe. Those coaches don't last too long in the league. I get tired of the arrogant tag being attached to BB. He just doesn't follow conventional wisdom. A lot of people criticize him and he couldn't care less. Personally, I think that Belichick is the greatest and I will live and die by his decisions. Call me homer if you must, but I have seen to many losing seasons and BB has brought 3 rings to the Pats. In Bill We trust.

I posted this because I think that it was a great call. Punting it would of given them the game. Manning would of marched down the field just as easy as he had all 4th quarter.

The weirder thing was the time out :(

I'm going to say greatest, one call that didn't work out isn't going to negate all the good one's.

LOL, other players and coaches and commentators and writers are blasting BB this week....

but show me one player who wouldnt want to play for him even after colts game

show me one coach who blasted him who has 3 rings or more

show me one writer who has done something in football that has the authority to blast him....

BB is the greatest coach in the modern era of football, i dont know too much about the lombardi years to be able to go that far back

Vince Lombardi is still the greatest coach of all time. 5 NFL Championships (before the merger) and two Superbowl wins. That's 7 rings.

Belichick is in the discussion, but he isn't there yet. He should be coaching for another 5-10 years, so I'm sure we'll have more to work with later on in his career.

I think people panic around here when they consider the Patriots' long term situation. Just keep in mind that we have Belichick and Brady for at least another five years, so anything is possible in that time frame.

Leaning towards agreeing with you TheComeback. This is probably best left until after the BB has finished his coaching career.

Of course ESPN puts out a poll: "Did the play call diminish Belichick's legacy?" The states voted unanimously no, which is big, considering his popularity. **** ESPN.

As of now, great coach. Had they gone 19-0, or maybe not fell victim to Dome-gate in the 2006 AFCCG I'd say he'd go down as the greatest, but not yet.

As of right now, Bill Walsh is the greatest coach. Had the Pats gone 19-0, BB obviously would've taken that position as the best of all time.

He's a great coach, but I wouldn't call him the greatest just yet. He's most definitely up there though. I'd have to say that I would put Lombardi and Noll ahead of him and tie him with Walsh. If he wins one more, I would vault him up past Walsh and Noll and put him in the conversation with Lombardi.
