Today is the reason I hate local sports radio

Listening to Dennis and Callahan this morning just reminds me how bad local sports radio can be so awful. This isn't a WEEI vs. Sports Hub thing either.

Four hours of just bashing Belichick for the 4th and 2 decision. Beating up on people who disagree with them. No real analysis on the game, just bashing. Manufacturing warped theories that Belichick had some ulterior motive for making the call other than trying to put the Pats in the best position to win. They don't want to talk about much else about the game other than to bash Maroney for the fumble.

Other than Dale and Holley, I expect much of the same to various degrees on both stations. The Big Show will most likely be the excuse makers for Belichick, but they will still follow the same formula.

Agreed i don't bother to tune in to D+C, the ONLY show i listen to is Dale and Holly.

Sometimes I wish I didn't. Many times I feel like I have a sadomasicistic tendencies for subjecting myself to the moronic banter on these stations. I listened to about 10 minutes of each post-game show last night and threw my radio out the window because Pete Sheppard and Andy Gresch were on some kind of contest for moronic host of the year award last night on dualign radio stations. Gresch was especially moronic last night.

Yeah, they never miss an opportunity to bash Belichick for his arrogance. But the Belichick press conference is the same as it ever was. Belichick isn't going to take credit or blame for a win or a loss. Never has. He just gives cliches.

Actually I listened to a little of Dale and Holley and was somewhat disappointed they were kinda stuck in Wahhhhh mode. The Big Show actually did a good job of analyzing all the reasons why he did it and except for Mazz uncontrollable need to point out Bill's arrogance, Felger (who picked the Pats to lose) seemd to be more impressed with them despite of the move which he doesn't like but attributes to the changes Polian initiated after 2004 and a trend in the league to rely more on stats like in baseball.

listening to espn 1050 am was no different either . from about 9am to 10 the talk show host was mocking BB,i dont think i have ever been so pissed off at a radio show as i was today........... this guy(JIM ROME) played a clip from a jeopardy show where the question had something to do with bb throwing a 'sissy punch' during the 08 superbowl................. he said stuff like how bb would have given all the players in his team a hoodie blah blah..........i mean this guy seemed to be after BB as if BB had slept with the hosts(JIM ROME) mom,sister and wife at the same time...................I MEAN COME ON
