I just read on one of the Jets' boards that Rex Ryan announced that Leonhard had surgery on his thumb today. Even if he isn't out for a long period of time, I don't think he could be playing on Sunday.

who???????

Well then, we've got a chance.

That's it, we're winning. ;)

who???????

He is their starting SS and one of the few free agents they added this year living up to his contract and probably one of their better defenders this year. Unlike Kerry Rhodes and Bart Scott, he is actually letting his play on the field do his talking rather than in the media or in Twitter.

I'm surprised how little people know about the Jets. I know Kerry Rhodes is the big name safety, but Leonhard has been their best secondary player not named Darrelle Revis. He has more tackles, sacks, and INTs than Rhodes. he actually has more sacks than Bart Scott, the Jets marquee free agent acquistion.

Plus he is their punt returner.

Yet, if I said that Kerry Rhodes was out, people would talk about how big of a loss it is for the Jets.
