Fatal Flaw: no real pass rusher

That talk is ridiculous. Burgess was lights out last night.. he was pressuring Manning time and time again.

We got a lot of pressure on Manning, even without Warren, TBC, and Ninkovitch.

He did great in quarters 1-3 but was completely take out in the 4th.

With no serious pass rushers on the other side to balance him out (TBC and later Ninkovitch), that's only expected. They shifted the line to his side if you didn't notice.

Sorry, but I didn't really see them worrying about Ninkovich when he was in there. TBC, yes. But not Ninkovich.

we had very good pass rush for 3 quarters for a banged up defense. We were spent in the end. Our offense couldve scored more pts but for the fumble and tried to effectively establish the running game but didnt . The d was worn out.

Good ole Prevent Defense, baby! Prevents you from winning.

I'd like that line if I hadn't first heard from Tubby Wrecks.

This team plays Q4 scared. That's all I can think of. BB saw Manning owning the D and thought the conversion attempt was the lesser of two evils. I agree for more reasons than are being discussed here.

I want to see classless wins and blowouts and wire-to-wire aggression. The school slut has better defense at the 11th hour than the Pats do.

With our potent offense, which gets this team out into comfortable leads in many games, it would be very nice to have a defense that can be relied upon to get after, pressure and sack the opposing QB when they know that QB has no choice but to drop back and pass the ball.

We got nothing in the second half and Indy was in Brady's face the entire half. That was the difference in the game.

BB usually finds ways to win in spite of it non-blitz pressure, but not last night. That's just the way it is.

our pass rush has been gone since the eagles game in 07 when Colvin went down with injury. the pats need to adress it this offseason, woud have been really nice to get peppers.

I can't believe nobody noticed this, but why the f*** would you put your top pass rusher on special teams?

Burgess had some nice pressures early in the game. But because he had to play almost 60 minutes, him and Thomas could'nt even get off their blocks in the 4th quarter.

Re: Fatal Flaw: no real passrusher

The fact that Tully is missed as our big pass rusher says it all. And how many snaps did Thomas get last night ? I know I didn't notice him much.

The only time I noticed Thomas, he was playing pattycake with the LT.

No push, no speed , no hits , no sacks. Just a benchwarmer at this stage of his career.

I am new to football rules after the regular season is over.
What type of player moves can you make during the post season?

Has anyone seen wat Clay Matthews is doing for green bay? This team needs to get a pass rusher through free agency or through the draft!!Its ridiculous the amount of time that Manning had to throw.

I said this all off season yet everyone was screaming about the secondary.

Well, they're definantly improved with this secondary but they still can't get it done without the hogs infront. Wether it's a DE for the 4-3 or a beast OLB the Patriots need help, because their days of winning anything meaningful is over until they fix it. You need pass rushers to win in the playoffs.

I agree with you. Its nice to have a bunch of draft picks but the last few years we have not addressed this issue. Any Yes Adalius Thomas has NOT lived up to what we thought. This is our biggest weakness.
I hope we get some help this off season.

Isn't Julius Peppers free this offseason?

Thomas had a nice pressure early in the game, but your right, his play has really dropped off. I can see him getting cut this off-season.

Yes. In fact, most people project that the Panthers won't be able to franchise him again because his tag number would be 20 million.

Thomas was lights on/off all night. For a guy making what he's making to perform this way for 2 years and after he's benched is unacceptable. Bet anything he's gone this offseason.

I'll probably get bashed, but I am sick and tired of pats fans complaining about the pass rush. Its not great, but it is good. Everyone acts like it is horrid.

Think about it on the other side of the field!!!

Colts fan"WTF we got no pash rush at all Brady had 5 seconds to throw that ball!"
