As much as that loss hurt, I'm finding myself kind of pumped up abour the rest of the season, if the pats get healthy by the playoffs, I think they are a lock to go to the super bowl. Brady played amazing, moss and welker did as well, they need their running backs back, and they need to get
Meriwether back healthy if he is actually hurt, which I think he is. Injuries are killing us, but I think they will be healed up up the end of the season, and lets be honest, the patriots are winning the AFC east. I really wouldnt mind going into denver and indy and beating them for revenge...yea HFA and a bye would be nice, but at least we get to watch them play one more game.

As hard as the loss was, I don't want to waste time into what could have happened or what did not. It is what it is and we have a division game next. Here's hoping that we demolish the Jets on Sunday.

GO PATS!!

Pass the kool-aid. My jug is empty right now.

Why? The thing is, I think through out the game, the coaches kind of let off the gass a little bit on O, I think if the D doesnt improve they wont make that mistake again. I think TBC was a huge loss for the game...and did Meriweather actually play?

Re: I like our chances.

Having to play an extra playoff game and going on the road will make it a lot more difficult. That said, I do think we're a little better pass rush and the return of Morris and hopefully Taylor from taking the next step. We won't have a great pass rush but the return of Warren, Green and TBC should help.

Anyone know how many plays Thomas was in for last night ? I didn't see him much even after TBC and Ninko got hurt.

Re: I like our chances.

We almost beat Indy when Indy was playing with all its defensive backs out and all its running backs injured and we think that we will have a better chance later in the season? Pass the kool-aid.

We do indeed have a chance at a bye and could indeed win the Super Bowl. HOWEVER, the circus at the end of the game is not a good sign at all. The reality is that Manning didn't do much special. He did do enough to take advantage of the folding patriots. who have trouble finishing a game. And I'll say before others do: this is NOT a new problem for the patriots.

Most of the Colts' DBs aren't coming back. It's fair to say we had more guys out who might be back than they did.

Re: I like our chances.

Uh, no way this team makes the Super Bowl unless we avoid the Colts. Our D cannot stop Manning. Especially with the game on the line.

Re: I like our chances.

We need to stay healthy. Last night showed we need all of our DL depth or they are going to break down late. Also Taylor/Morris need to come back or else the coaching staff is going to have to suck it up and show some faith in Maroney or BJGE. When you are facing great QBs you HAVE to be able to get it done on the ground.

Re: I like our chances.

OP, your post pretty much sums up how I feel today!

Re: I like our chances.

I also agree with the OP. Maybe this loss will make the whole team play with a massive chip on their shoulder.

If we don't play the Colts or Steelers in the playoffs, I might agree.

You just lost to Indy by 1 point in their building. They needed a miracle comeback and some boneheaded coaching to make it happen..... What scares you about playing last nights game again?

Normally, I agree with you, but losing to the Jets, Colts, and Broncos really annoys me especially in last night's fashion. I believed the D would step up in a big way. I hope you're right and this motivates them even more.

This team WILL NOT win the Superbowl. Take that to the bank. We have no run game, pass blocking that folds up like a lawn chair, no pass rush, no secondary, a scared coach. The Colts, Chargers, Broncos, Bengals, and Steelers can all beat the Patriots when it comes play off time.

Don't worry about this. The chances are only 50-50 that they

make the playoffs.

How do you like our chances against New Orleans a couple weeks down the road? I see that as our only loss left on the schedule.

So I guess we can assume that we wont be hearing from you the rest of the season. Unless its on the draft board.

You feel that way? I think you give the Patriots another shot at Indy and it's a win. Denver is collapsing. But what really caught my eye were the Chargers. The Chargers are hardly a great team by any means this year. Put 'em in a decent division and I don't see making the Playoffs.
