I'm starting to think the roles between the teams have been reversed. It seems the Colts have gotten into the Pats heads, in the early part of the decade it would have been the Colts that came out on the losing end of this game. They would have had the critical turnovers and would have failed to keep the lead. This seems to have changed in the last three or four years.

They're in my head. (lol)

Re: Are the Colts now in Belichicks Head

I think they are. The only way to fix this in my opinion would be come from behind playoff win or a huge blow out.

I don't know if its the Colts as a team, but Peyton Manning is definitely in Belichick's head. Bill must have nightmares of Peyton Manning, and its not just because of that enormous face.

God I hope not. We will see if these teams meet in the playoffs

Re: Are the Colts now in the Heads of Belichick and the Team

I find it ironic how PM's success vs the Pats increased once Ty left town.

Re: Are the Colts now in the Heads of Belichick and the Team

i think the timeout managment was critical..last in indy he called atimeout when they got a first on 4th and goal. this yr we wasted two timeouts on a 4th down play when we didnt get it.
too much indecisiveness unlilke BB .dont know if they are in BB's head.

Re: Are the Colts now in the Heads of Belichick and the Team

No question. They just looked beat like WTF does it take to beat these guys. This is so similar to how the Colts were early in the decade. Hopefully things will turn for us like they did for them.

Re: Are the Colts now in the Heads of Belichick and the Team

I'm seriously rooting for a 16-0 colts team to play us in the playoffs. SERIOUSLY.

Re: Are the Colts now in the Heads of Belichick and the Team

No way! Their not in Belichick's head. I bet Bill is moving on towards preparing for the JEts game next week already. It's always a chess match between belichick and manning. the games are usually close decided by one score.

This goes back way before last night. How many times have we beat indy in the last four years once? Its getting to the point where i think BB and the team are starting to doubt if they can beat the Colts. Just look at how the game last night was coached. When did BB manage the clock and time outs like that before.

Re: Are the Colts now in the Heads of Belichick and the Team

This coaching staff should be looked at more closely from here on out.It will be interesting how this coaching staff will make adjustments with the jets blitzing scheme and how the playcalling will be!

Re: Are the Colts now in the Heads of Belichick and the Team

1-5 in the last 6 games. I'd say they are.

Re: Are the Colts now in the Heads of Belichick and the Team

All u had to do was look at Belichick's face looking at the clock last night1He should have had his team being aggresive instead of playing not to lose the game.

Re: Are the Colts now in the Heads of Belichick and the Team

Unfortunately, yes they absolutely are.

Re: Are the Colts now in the Heads of Belichick and the Team

Yes because CLEARLY the Patriots were vastly superior in every way.

The '05 team was decimated by injuries when they played the Colts.
The '06 team had no business being on the same field as that Colts team. Hell, the RS game shouldn't have even been close, and they just frankly ran out of gas after playing in 8 straight quarters of max effort football against vastly superior opponents.
The '07 team was superior to that Colts team and won.
The '08 team didn't have Brady, Manning was just hitting his stride and we STILL almost won with one of the worst defenses in the league.
And this year, well, we blew it.

Yeah, sounds like there is no other explanation for why they are dropping games to the Colts. Must be in their head.

He definitely is in Belichicks head. If he wasnt, BB would have punted no question, but he was worried about Manning scoring. I think BB has moved on and has moved on to the Jets though and will worry about Manning when the time comes.

Re: Are the Colts now in the Heads of Belichick and the Team

The whole respect Manning vs not trusting our D is rightly so. How many times does Manning pull it out in the last two minutes? Going for it on the 4the doesnt mean he is in our heads it was the right thing to do.

Re: Are the Colts now in the Heads of Belichick and the Team

More like ignorance or arrogance. This is a different team & different game in which we clearly outplayed them. Pats defense held their own. We stopped them 9 outta 14 TD were in a prevent type D. Pats should have punted pin them back to like their own 25-30. Our D Was confident.
