So much for BB having faith in BJGE... 3rd and 2 and he's the only healthy North/South runner on the team and BB doesn't go to him.. What does that tell people????

Oh, I'm sure people are going to say the same thing about Maroney, but the reality is that Maroney got 13 carries last night. BJGE got NONE.

i think he's learned from Parcells not to trust rookies too much. That's why you saw Wilhite play in the first half while they kept butler on the bench. i think we'll be fine once taylor and morris get back.

True dat Law Firm is apparently not ready in Bill's eyes for that play.

Given that, why not run a QB sneak on 3rd and 2? Their D-line can't stop 2 sneaks from getting 1.5 yards.

We needed Sammy Morris.

He left the game; he was ill and had to get IV; he was seen puking on the sideline. No reason for you to bash him.

same think i thought ..couldve sneaked on 2 downs and they wouldnt have expected a sneak on 3rd and 2.
Throwing on 3rd and short is not a recipe for success not in this game and not in any. no one expects you to run so they just defend the pass.

Brady doesn't have much faith in BJGE either - he was wide open for a first down and Brady looked right at him and then moved on to his next target (completed it for a first anyway). BJGE has had two crucial drops so far this year and he hasn't run well against 1st stringers. It would be great to get Morris back.

BJGE was dehydrated so I'm not sure how things would have played out in normal circumstances.

BB showed he has little faith in BJGE AND little faith in Maroney down the stretch. 1st and 10 on the last drive they do a run, but it's a Shotgun draw to Faulk. Yes Maroney is clearly the #1 but it still seems we only trust Faulk in the clutch.

This.

Pointless thread really.

:agree:

BB has little faith in his ground game, period. Been that way since Dillon was one and done, though. His continued reliance on aging, injury prone power backs to somehow alter reality since then is what's maddening. This season we didn't even bother with a fullback on the roster. If we didn't have so many injured RB's clogging the roster we could have what we do on defense while still leaving room for a bruising fullback whoever is available could run behind.

I wasn't bashing BJGE. Sorry that you missed that.

As for him being ill, I hadn't heard that.... When did it happen? I ask because BJGE was out there at the end of the 3rd quarter lead blocking for Maroney when Maroney fumbled...

He was out there as well in the 4th...

He left before the 2nd half, abruptly and went to the locker room. It was barely mentioned.

This is confirmed by Forsberg on Reiss's blog:
