Guys a stud, he is playing way to good to be replaced. I think he can be the best tackle taken this past draft, thats saying a lot to considering the high number of players taken in that position in the first round.

It was a weird night for me. I've said all along, that until i see him against Freeney, im not jumping on the bandwagon yet. I've also defended Nick many times on this board. Now, im liking the hell out of Vollmer, and Kaczur was p*ssing me off. Its only one game though. Nicks looked ok up till now.

The future is bright for Vollmer. :eat3:

I agree, he's been incredible so far. Kaczur continues to be mediocre as always. Hopefully Light can switch to RT

Yup, seeing how he more than held his own against one of the games premier pass rushers was the final straw for me to think he should stay at LT. The only way Light plays again is if either Vollmer gets injured or he replaces Kaczur at RT. No way he rides the bench from here on out, just too good.

where were you all at the start of the yr? I have been driving this wagon.:)

Ive been here, I knew he was good once I seen him play VS Ten. But the way he played tonight was awesome. Feel bad for Light but glad we drafted this dude.

I know, you've circled me many times :D

I just wasnt ready to climb aboard until i saw him take on a good pash rusher, on a dry field. This, to me, was going to be a good game to judge him on. I thought he did real well.

Vollmer didn't do anything tonight that Light doesn't do better.

Maybe not but he offers the option to move Light to RT and protect Brady on both sides. Bottom line is, if we can get a running game when Morris comes back and maybe Taylor, and use Edeleman/Aiken better as the 3rd WR then this offense becomes unstoppable

Then its down to who concedes less if/when we play Indy again in the AFCCG

I disagree.... as you can see. The pass rush was only a threat on the right side where Nick was playing. When Light gets healthy.... Right Tackle will be there and waiting for him.

Vollmer was beat once on a spin move by Freeney but he recievedback up and it was thwarted anyways. Let Vollmer grow into the position he is perfecting.

LIGHT to RIGHT

Totally agree. Vollmer should stay at LT, and Light should be moved to RT. Kaczur is the weak link on this line. I still laugh when I think of how Mel Kiper said we reached for him in the second round. He also said we reached for Mankins when we drafted him. I don't think Mel is very good at rating OL.

great great game from Sebastian ! bravo !

Vollmer didn't help a whole lot in the running game tonight, and neither Taylor nor Morris was likely to have been any better than Maroney in that game.

I've got nothing against Vollmer. I just think that people are jumping the gun there. I'd much rather have him at right tackle than left right now, assuming he can play the position.

Well - IMO he's a rookie in his 3rd or 4th start who's getting better and better each week. His run blocking will improve. The commentators and the Indy fans i've seen were raving about him. Light has some good games and some bad ones and his contracts up soon. I'd at least try Vollmer LT and Light RT and see how it goes - we've also got LeVoir who could play RT too

What does that tell you? If Vollmer in his 3rd of 4th game starting is outplaying or playing just as well as Light was then why not stick with Vollmer? His potential is through the roof and hes been playing if not better than Light was just as damn good. I say leave him in and let him continue to develop.

Did he leg whip anyone last night? No. Did he allow any sacks? No. Did he pancakse the league's best DEnd on multiple occasions, and create running holes on his side when they actually decided to run over there? Yes.

"Job's yours kid. Dont screw it up."

I don't care which of Vollmer or Light play LT or RT. I just want Kaczur out of there and standing by in case of emergencies only. He's a turnstile.

If Light was at RT tonight with Vollmer at LT, the Patriots would have won the game.
