It will be nice to see Indy at Foxboro next year.

The Patriots should win the East, so they will play the winner of the AFC
South (Indy) at home and the AFC West (Denver) away.

Home: Buffalo, Miami, N.Y. Jets, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Green Bay, Minnesota, AFC South(Indy)

Away: Buffalo, Miami, N.Y. Jets, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Detroit, AFC West(Denver)

I agree, plus it shapes up as a TOUGH schedule. Too early to worry about it.

If your read pft this morning, something tells me a walkout is looming.. I seriously doubt it would happen in the post season, but 2010 may happen..

whoa. anybody else thinking about the Fins in Foxboro this Sunday (i.e., 2009)?

(besides, that's depressing. 8 of the 10 Non-Division opponents have winning 2009 records to date for a total of 44--28 (.611). If you take out Detroit and Cleveland, it's 42--15 (.737).)

Yes lets enjoy this year since we are already in week 8 already... Where does the best sport season go, while they are still playing baseball...

Re: A look ahead - Patriots 2010 opponents.

Thanksgiving day at Detriot! We played them maybe 8 years ago on Thanksgiving (wore the throwbacks too). They may not suck as bad by then, no what who are we kidding....

As of now it appears easier than this year's. Of course that can change. But Minny won't have a QB and Cincy has never had back-to-back quality seasons as long as I've been watching football. Doesn't look too bad

Finally we get Indy at NE again after what seems like a gazillion games at Indy. This is all fairly meaningless (the Tennessee game looked like a bear this time last year) but it's still fun to look ahead.

I was thinking the same thing, I really hope we get the Thanksgiving game.

A couple of points here:

(1) The 2010 schedule has NOT been set yet. It is possible they could revamp things drastically, but it's also possible it will just continue the current system.

(2) The CBA specifically forbids both lockouts and strikes while it is in force, and the CBA itself does not expire until March 2011.

The Bills game should be in Toronto shouldn't? Last year was the Dolphins and this year it's the Jets, I'm assuming that we'd be up next?

I'm getting tired of playing Indy--it's like interleague baseball overload. Might as well contract the Jets and put Indy in our division.
