I think we will be shocked that we dont win the division...Miami may give us trouble at Miami, but seriously there a fluke team, should be a easy win next week, with 2 weeks to prepare...

The Jets may have a solid defense, but Sanchize was lucky to pick apart the fraud Miami defense..

the bills well there still the bills under **** jauroun...

The Pats and Brady have there sea legs under them, and now will have a brutal nov, but as we saw today, 3 of those games should be a little easier.. No doubt we are a better team then those 2 that played at the medowlands..

I think we learned the Jets , to a man, are a truly insane "team". Never quite seen a nutty like the Jet postgame interviews today.

How many great games do the Dolphins have to play before we stop calling them a fluke? Seriously. I hate Miami as much as the next guy, but there's no denying that they play with heart.

At least the Jest Scout Team didn't cost them game two, but Dustin Keller has bus tracks all over his backside.

they still have 4 more game's in the AFC east and the colts and saints

they are not going to just run a way with the AFC east

the fish and the jets both have great runing game's and the pats have not looked very good vs the run this year

the jets still have a D good a nuff to make brady look like he did in there first game

and the fish are 6th in the NFL in sack's so they have the passrush to get in brady's face

ya the bills suck but they give the pats a run for there money in game one and im not looking for them to just roll over at home

i dont think any of dose team's are great and i dont think any of them will get a wild card spot its win the division or go home

but i all so dont think the pats will just win out and go 14-2

befor the last two blow out win's vs two of the worst team's in the NFL the pats did not look like a team that will have a first round by in the playoff's

i think they can and will win the division but not by much

Disagree 100% with the OP.
Every divisional game is going to be a dogfight. How is miami a fluke again? They just beat the jets twice (we lost to NY), gave Indy all they could handle and gave the saints a game as well. We take Miami for granted as an easy game next sunday and we go home with a big fat L. Did we forget what happened last year when miami came to town. If we thought our October schedule was tough, that doensnt have anything on our November schedule. Miami, Indy, NO, and NYJ..brutal. We will find out just how good we are, no more Tennessee's and Tampa Bays to play. Time to man up the playoff push begins now.

Miami wont be a problem, they miss the Marino days too much

they didnt last season, as AFC East champs....

as for this year, miami, if u can slow down their wildcat package, sucks....they have no offense whatsoever from a normal formation, and its evey day u will have 2 ST TD's and 1 Defensive TD in one game

yea well have to stop the wildcat first, but we did that our second meeting last year and i see us doing it agian....miami's recievers w/ that QB are not something to be afraid of, and this time well FOCUS on the opposing teams running game, wehich we havnt done all year, THEN we can say weather we can stop the run or not

a divisional game is never easy, but i see us handling miami, as for the jets, the really up in the air, but w/o lean and jenkins, our life is MUCH easier, we will need a #3 wr by that time though, or well be running all day

We have discussed this previously ad infinitum, in reality these teams know each other too well... this is the classic "on any given sunday", magnified times two or possibly three...

Take nothing for granted, stay focused and we should be ok... think Miami should move away from the Wildcat, as it did not seem all that effective.

Colts are not as good as their record. They have been lucky so far, playing their schedule....

Let me teach you a little something about Divisional matchups.

1991 Patriots - 6 - 10
1991 Bills - 13 - 3

The Pats and Bills split their two games despite the Pats being a mediocre squad.

This sort of stuff happens all the time.

Divisional games bring out rivalries and a level of play that other games just can't match. You can never count out a divisional opponent in any game.

Plus it's ******* Miami. How many times have they screwed up reality by beating us when they shouldn't have this decade?

Miami scored 2 special teams and one defensive td's, stack the line watch for the fluke option, and we should be able to handle them at home, in Miami they historically give us fits... Last year at home the exception we should be able to win this game with 2 weeks to prepare.. .With a healthy Wes Welker and a better game plane we should also trounce the jets at home as well... If we handle buisness on our end, we should be either 3 or 4 games up on our division opponets by Dec 1st..

with slater and the rest of the ST

I've opined on more than one occasion that some people here don't watch enough other teams play on Sunday. I guess the bye week proved some of you don't just watch alternate feeds, you live an alternate football reality.

The JETS and Miami are both extremely inferior teams. Any given Sunday for the 'Fins went out the window with Noodle Arm's last injury. Any given Sunday was what you saw from the JETS before other teams got film and a bead on their newest Sanchise.

With the loss of their young corner the Miami secondary has become less than pedestrian. Their defense crumbles down the stretch. Long drives exhaust their older core players. Even their coaches have no faith in Henne, justifiably I'd guess, since they can't help themselves from clinging to a gimmick that has run it's limited course.

The JETS play with more emotion than discipline and that ultimately takes a toll. Unlike his fan base, there is a reason Bill avoids the high highs and low lows, because the JETS are what results when you embrace that ****. Superbowls are never played in September. You can't even sniff one unless you consistently improve heading into November and December.

They are at best 2 .500 teams. If Sean, who is the ultimate worry wart can see that, there is something lacking in those of you who cannot.

No team brings it's A game every week, as Indy showed in struggling against SF yesterday, which is why there have been so few undefeated seasons and that is what any given Sunday is really about. But in the end they prevailed against SF because they are just too much better and more talented and prepared across the board to lose to truly inferior competition midway through the season. Injuries and coaching are the great equalizers at this juncture, but everyone is dealing with injuries and we have the superior coaching expertise on our sidelines. And a HOF QB under center.

There are only two seriously tough matchups left on our schedule. Both are on the road making them tougher yet. One is against a perennial contender who has yet to face anything resembling a contender, and the other is against a domed NFC team who has yet to prove they can handle a competent AFC team.

Miami (3-4) still has to face NE twice, plus the Steelers, Colts and Houston. The JETS (4-4) still have to face NE on the road plus Atlanta, the Colts and Cincy. .500 is almost the best either can hope for at this point.

Actually they did, and that was before they lost Pennington who was the only thing that barely sustained them and their wildcat fantasy in a season where Brady was on the shelf and Favre was melting in the Meadowlands. That's why they were pathetic in predictably getting bounced in the first round of the playoffs at home...they haven't had a remotely functional QB who could stay healthy since Marino...let alone a high functioning one.

But how are we gonna stop The Ginn Family w/o Larry Izzo on STs?

Ironically I think Ginn broke an Izzo tackle on BOTH of his returns yesterday. One for sure, but i think on the other one Larry at least got a hand on him. Perhaps BB let him walk at the appropriate time.

That was sarcastic right?

Uh, yeah. Notably Izzo wiffed, missing 'The Ginn Family' on one TD as Ted took it up the middle right past Izzo's flailing arms.

Izzo is an example of an ex-Patriot that is not dead to me. BB thought he was past his shelf date and let him go unsigned. Larry's just tryin to feed his family with a paycheck. So what if it's signed by the Dark Side of the Force.

In the '04 season we lost to the Jets at home and Dolphins on the road
In the "05 season we lost to the Dolphins at home
In the '06 season we lost to the Jets at home and Dolphins on the road
In the '08 season we lost to the Jets and Dolpins at home
In the '09 sesaoin we lost to the Jets on the road

You can minimize the mantra of on "any given sunday".. but the above bears it out... intradivision games give us a lot of trouble...

It is true that more years than not either the Jets or the Dolphins will beat the Pats at some point. Thing is, it's already happened this year--I think the Jets win is the "any given sunday" loss for the Pats within the division this year. Playing at Miami is like playing in Denver in that weird stuff can always happen, but the Pats very likely win the rest of the divisional games.
