March 6, 2001: "By agreeing to accept a 10-year, $103-million contract extension yesterday, Drew Bledsoe virtually assured that he will finish his NFL career where it began, with the New England Patriots. "

Just think, Bledsoe's contact would soon be coming up for renewal... in this alternate reality who would our quarterback of tomorrow have been? Eli? Russel? Alex Smith? Oh how TFB changed it all....

And Peyton would probably have like 4-6 sb rings.

Lol I loved one of the articles under it (Bledsoe breaks Pats passing record in victory over Broncos.(The Gazette) | Article from Knight Ridder/Tribune News Service | HighBeam Research)

especially this line:

"DENVER - Drew Bledsoe came off the Mile High Stadium field with the game ball safely tucked under his arm, and with New England coach Bill Belichick actually giving him an escort, telling him how great he was."

I'm guessing Bill was thinking on the inside, crap now how am I going to be able to get rid of the statue.

There were many rumors swirling around that Brady was going to start vs Indy week 3 anyway....
