I know some of you guys like to follow him on Twitter for his insight and news ... now he wants to bring you more. Why am I thinking he will make more money when he retires from the league than he makes playing in the league ... this is one smart and industrious man.

Cincinnati Bengals' Chad Ochocinco plans to form social news network on Twitter - ESPN

The Bengals receiver is planning to form his own social news network on Twitter, using his player contacts around the league to develop news about other teams. The idea grew out of his partnership with Motorola, which will provide the technology.

He's dubbed the venture OCNN, for the Ochocinco News Network. He will try to compete with mainstream media to tell fans what's going on with NFL teams.

Picture PFT, as run by an active NFL player. Rolaids, Mr. Goodell?

The Associated Press: Bengals WR Ochocinco trying to break newsMotorola is using the venture to promote its MOTOBLUR technology. Ochocinco will use one of the company's Cliq mobile devices for his new social network. Motorola marketing officer Bill Ogle said Ochocinco "brings order and clarity to a multifaceted lifestyle as a professional athlete, entertainer and devoted social networker."

It's been a busy week for Ochocinco's social networking ventures. A week ago, his new iPhone app was introduced. The app was developed by a company that includes Bengals quarterback Jordan Palmer and features various ways to get news on the receiver.

Between football and networking, the receiver doesn't have much extra time. "This is how I stay out of trouble," he said. "I don't go to clubs, I don't drink, I don't party."

"I don't go to clubs, I don't drink, I don't party" ... sounds like a decent sports role model to me.

It is not like I have anything against Chad, but if T.O. was the one trying to do this, he will have been receiving all sorts of insults.

Glad our players are concentrating on football.

Of course we're not the Bengals, hopefully they will always have a shorter season to pursue their extracurricular activities.:D

He's harmless and hilarious.

QFT.

Ochocinco is one of my favorite players in the league. I really don't understand how anyone can't like this guy. He is pure entertainment, and also a class act.

Like Kid Rock says: "They say I'm ****y, and I say what? It ain't braggin' if you do it and you back it up".

I like him too, as much for his attitude as for his abilities. :D

I'm a big fan of Ochocinco as well. Like someone else said, he really is just pure entertainment. If you ever checked out his twitter, he is by and large a harmless child trapped in an NFL body. He's in it for fun, and he's a model in that he really doesn't buy into the whole "rich thug" mentality. Not sure how much i'd want him on my team (I certainly question his maturity level), but I think he is nothing but GOOD for the NFL.
