Will the rain in London make the field unplayable? Or atleast make the teams more even? I remember the Giants barely beat a winnless Dolphins team two years ago. I hope they have improved the field.I do not want someone hurt or the pats to lose a game because of a field or mud.

LOL. Seriously London isnt as wet as people make out. Indeed its actually quite a dry place and motably mild in the winter. Sure its raining today but thats a $1500m stadium with top of the range drainage. The pitch was relaid a while ago following complaints but its like a golf green now.

Forecast tomorrow is dry and mild. If you think playing on a frozen Gillete stadium is worse youre mistaken

The NFL worked with them to make some improvements to improve their footing after that game. Besides, the forecast is for clear overnight and sunny skies and some wind tomorrow. It's raining today, but not as heavily as it did prior to that game. That was near record rainfall at the time.

The weather at the moment is fine here but the weather is notoriously difficult to predict. In fact, there is actually some sunshine!

To be fair it rained (hard) all afternoon that day - and any uncovered stadium would be affected - made worse by the poor field that has since been relaid

Because that was 2 years ago, after terrible rain on a brand new pitch that has since been relayed twice and had another NFL game on it, where it stood up much better and wasn't a "mud bowl".

of course, you have to understand that when the Brits say "Sunny Intervals," they mean something different than we do ...what happens between those "intervals" can be another matter...

i'm sure the field will be fine...i don't think the NFL would send two of its teams, including a few of its biggest stars, to play again in the muck we saw a couple of years ago...an NFL game is trench warfare among 300 pound guys, digging in and launching themselves at each other between the numbers...soccer is played by much more nimble, smaller guys all over the field, so a surface that would come through a soccer game just fine in the rain could end up a mud bowl in a football game

The pitch was absolutely terrible in '07 but lessons were learnt and was fine for the Saints/Chargers game. I'm not worried about the field.

Brady is probably the best qb in rain or snow

Plus... I like my chances with Maroney in snow/rain as opposed to a dry field. His strides are shorter it seems and his acceleration is better

thought football was meant to be played in the elements - and mud fields are part of that.
