Looks like the passing game could be off a little,we may need the running game to work well.

18 to 30 MPH winds and a Partly Cloudy sky with a high in the mid 50s - Sounds a lot like Boston weather this time of year.

Could be some EPIC field goals...

Bloke one: "Gostkowski is good from the 32."

Bloke two: "Oh, that's pretty far..."

Bloke one: "Pretty far? I mean from THEIR 32!"

Bloke two: ""

I bet it's gonna be freezing cold

Mid 50s ain't bad but who knows what the wind chill will be

Could it really be any worse than the cold of last week?

Wembley is almost completely enclosed and I doubt the wind will have a major effect.

Probably not after looking at that, but depends on the strength of the winds I guess

BTW: Whats the deal with the Arch?

Nothing really. Just an feature. It serves no purpose. The stadium roof does close completely but I doubt this will be done on Sunday.

Wembley reminds me of the old cowboys stadium..

Handy dandy tote handle. Has wheels on the back-side too. ;)

I was just reading about Wembley and according to Wikipedia the pitch is only 115 yards long. What are they going to do about the endzones? Are the seats at either end of the field collapsable?

Not much. For one thing, I live on the same latitude as Boston and Northern California. Secondly, it was t-shirt weather here watching the snow in Foxboro on Sunday.

No it doesn't, which was a mistake imo

Re: Partly Sunny with Winds of up to 30MPH expected in London Sunday

From the looks of things, it sounds like the weather is going to be beautiful compared to this past Sunday in Foxboro. :p

the arch is just a feature, you can see the arch on a clear day from right across London! When do the players land in london? I heard they are training at the oval cricket ground.

Nice looking building. I was still picturing in my mind's eye the Freddie Mercury Tribute-era Wembley.

Not just a feature at all, in a strange relationship that i don't quite understand the roof and the arch hold each other up. Remove either one and the other would collapse.

5.35am local time Friday morning.

So thats 12.35 am Eastern. Yes they are practicing at the Brit oval. Not sure the groundsman will be too please about having linemen ripping up his outfield.

When they refer to the pitch, they mean the area marked out by the white lines. So as you can see from these pictures, plenty of extra room:

Fits in fine.
