Re: The heartless Bellicheck

That's very cool. Can't read all of it, but yeah, that's gonna be ESPN front page material for sure...

Re: The heartless Bellicheck

That was very nice.

Re: The heartless Bellicheck

He does a lot of things like that but it never gets reported and he certainly not going to say anything, course the mediots could find this stuff out but it doesnt sell.

Re: The heartless Bellicheck

Eh, he could have done better and gave the guy season tickets.

What a class act.

Re: The heartless Bellicheck

Once again public persona is proven to be a figment of the media's imagination.

I doubt that this will make ESPN. It wouldn't agree with their constant character assassination of BB.

Re: The heartless Bellicheck

What a douche. A true class act like Complainian would have called a press conference to make sure everyone knew about the letter and how humble he is. Belichick has a lot of growing up to do.

Exactly. Rex Ryan would've made him a team captain, Brett Favre would have given him his tractor but then decided to take it back, and St. Dungy would have parted the seas and ressurected his wife. ;)

lol.. thanks for making my day. :)

Re: The heartless Bellicheck

He doesn't want people to know he does good deeds. There is a spiritual principal of doing good deeds "in secret."

I'll take BB over any coach, including Quiet Strength, when it comes to ANY and EVERY aspect of his personality.

maybe this twitpic if sent to mikereiess or adam schefter might help it get more noticed if anyone uses twitter here.

Somebody sent it to Shefter and he did post it.

Belichick is as genuine as they come.

Hes Old School and broadcasting and letting everyone know about nice gesture would be disingenuous. Once, he stopped and pulled over to offer assistance at a car accident.

That's a witty comment, but it's also true. What you do when nobody is looking is the true measure. BB is a class act.

I would hope so. It's hard to imagine anyone seeing an accident and thinking, "Hmm ... I'm famous, so I better not stop and render aid."

Re: The heartless Bellicheck

Love how the media went nuts over the fact that Manning wrote notes to other players/coaches, and this won't get one second of play.

Embrace the hate my friends :]

Classy move though, it's good he took the time out to read a letter and respond to it when it really doesn't matter wether he did or not.

Will repeat this story, that have told before... one time I was at an Amer-I-Can program, which is headed by Jim Brown, BB was also there.. and he said the following:

"If Michael Jordan did half as much as Bill Belichick did, the world would be a different place(sic)"....

Rex Ryan's voicemail to season ticket holders reached more people and was more public. He wins.
