Weak. Chargers/Chiefs

Whoo-hoo, glad a game at Wembley qualifies us for broadcast on CBS!

so glad I caved this year and got DirecTV

Lame. Suck Diego Chargers again.

Ind/StL .... NFL RedZone here I come...

SSDD

Hmmm....
I live in Central PA and the distribution maps say that I have the late game of NYJ @ Oak.

But DirecTv's website says that I will receive Pats @ Bucs at 1PM and Bull Riding at 4PM.

And tvguide.com says that I will receive a 1PM TBA game and then Bull Rididng at 4PM.

And the Steelers game (local team) is on Fox at 1PM. I'm wondering if CBS will decide to broadcast the 4PM game instead of the Pats game so they don't have to try to compete with Fox's broadcast of the home team.

Thought???

*grumbles* I was hoping to see this game this weekend. I have family going to it!

I get to watch teh late game of Carolina vs Buffalo at 4 on CBS... *sniffles*

Maybe its time to get my 13 year old son to babysit while we go to the local pub!

Good lord, I'm stuck with Jets/Raiders. Who the hell outside of NY and Oakland wants to watch that pile of crap game?

Wooo, first time i can come in this thread and not be worried about whether the Patriots will be getting a lot of coverage so a stream will be available. The reason being of course, that im going to my first (and hopefully not last, still planning to go to Boston next season) Patriots game! Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

thankfully not spewing the Jets at us again in DC, looking forward to the London game

OK, causing this left coaster to look up when the Pats will be on nat'l TV because of either Sunday or Monday night games. Not getting any games otherwise. Of course, I do remember when we got none of these "special" games.

Sunday night, Nov. 15 at Indy.

Monday night, Nov. 30 at N.O.

Sunday night, Dec. 6 at Mia.

All away games, and at least the first two vs. very tough opponents.

Great, I get to sleep through the Chargers game.

Sucks for you guys in California. Here in Florida, life is good. :D

Who picks this crap? I have seen the Chargers every week. They have been on primetime a ton too.

Apparently the NFL thought they were going to be better.

I'll start by assuming that you are close enough to be getting your television signal from a Pittsburgh station.

The NFL forbids any other games from being broadcast in a team's local market when they are playing at home. This is done presumably to (a) insure that fans with tickets go to the game and spend more money rather than stay at home (and spend no money) watching a better game on tv, and (b) to get those same fans to support Sunday Ticket sales directly (purchasing it for themselves at home) or indirectly (patronizing a sports bar that subscribes to the Sunday Ticket.) So the bottom line is no early game (including the Pats this week) alternative to the Steelers game in your area.

The NFL does want each network to show at least one game in every market, so CBS will air a late game where you are, even though it is a Fox doubleheader this weekend. The only CBS late games are the Jets at the Raiders or the Bills at the Panthers, so that is why you'll get NYJ-Oakland. At least there will be an alternative on Fox.
