FOXBOROUGH -- Adalius Thomas, Tully Banta-Cain and Eric Alexander all were at practice this afternoon, according to Globe reporter Michael Vega.

The presence of Banta-Cain and Alexander seems to confirm that both players have re-signed hours after being released.

Receiver Brandon Tate and tackle Mark LeVoir also were both present at practice. Tate was working with the punt return unit, while LeVoir was with the offensive line.

More to come ...

Well obviously, Thomas wasn't being traded. I'm pumped to see Tate's time has come.

Brandon Tate returns kicks during team walkthrough; Sammy Morris and Matt Light among the missing
Posted by Karen Guregian at 3:10 pm

Colleague Ian Rapoport was out on the lower practice field to take in today’s walkthrough practice. Both Tully Banta-Cain and Eric Alexander were present, suggesting they had both re-signed contracts after being released.

Also present were rookie wide receiver Brandon Tate and offensive lineman Mark LeVoir, who are both eligible to come off the reserve inactive list. Given it was a walkthough, it’s not clear if they were officially activiated, or not. The team has 21 days to decide on their status.

Linebacker Adalius Thomas, who was a healthy scratch for Sunday’s blowout of the Titans, was present.

Running back Sammy Morris, who injured a knee during his first carry of the game, was not out on the field, nor was left tackle Matt Light, who missed the game with a knee injury.

So my assumption is that Alexander had an extension worked out.

Hopefully AD and BB are on the same page now.

Let the Brandon Tate era begin...I will say that it's pretty impressive for a guy who blew out his knee last Oct to be on an NFL practice field a year later. That tells me a little something about him. Good luck kid!

JMO, but it says more of our **** up with Galloway than a credit to him. Ofcourse if he can become a stud, I'll gladly change my mind :D

Phew! Welcome back, Tully. We missed you. ;)

Disagree. They wouldnt shove the kid on the practice field if he wasnt physically or mentally ready- regardless of the Galloway situation.

Is BB there, or is he too busy frantically looking for a third receiver?

Heard Patriots are not going to make any trades. Levoir and tate will be taking over for matthews Galloway

Practice means nothing. If he's capable of practicing and learning things for the future, why not have him practice rather than have him sit and rot for a year? Galloway is gone, you need someone for that roster spot. I don't see too many other options BB has other than to try out Tate.

Exactly. However, I believe that Tate is fully healthy. If he wasn't, he'd just be IR'ed and we'd stick with what we already had when Galloway was scratched.

I'm pumped up to see what Tate is going to offer. I actually hope that he can come in for some reps on the offense. He was better than Nicks in college until he got injured and Nicks is producing pretty well right now. Not saying that Tate is going to be the second coming of Randy Moss or Larry Fitzgerald, but he could contribute. Plus, he was dangerous in the return game in college as well.

I don't know. I tried reaching Clayton to see if he knew, but he was too busy talking on the phone with Pete Prisco telling him how much grade A trim he bangs, the huge fish he caught over the weekend, and how he didn't used to look like tweety bird until a mishap occurred during a rare moment of brain activity which caused his head to partially implode.

Don't worry, the doctors told him it is unlikely to reoccur.

Grade A trim...........Still in complete shock over that.

Who are you?.....................Allen Iverson ;)

In the flesh :D

No, I just don't think making it to the practice field once an utter dissapointment was released has much to do with what Tate has done to get onto the field, rather than what has happened to force him onto the field.

Don't know what the circumstances were surrounding AD's benching, but hopefully it lights a fire under his ass and he comes out with a vengeance.
