Re: Rumor Galloway Cut....

just breaking.....

Cite that this came from PFT via Mike Florio...

If this is true, it changes the complexion of the relationship they have with him.. by cutting him now, they are allowing him to go to any team, over being claimed via waivers..

Re: Rumor Galloway Cut....

I don't see any advantage in not waiting until after the 4PM deadlein to make this transaction.

Re: Rumor Galloway Cut....

It had nothing to do with the relationship he just cant play.

Re: Rumor Galloway Cut....

May the Brandan Tate era begin!

PFT guesses that by not exposing the guy to waivers you let him choose the team he plays for next rather than stripping him of that choice, and that generates some good-will in the locker room. Of course, trading Seymour to the black hole kinda contradicts that.

That's pure speculation by Florio. He's often been wrong.

Re: Rumor Galloway Cut....

Guess there just wasn't a trade market for him.

Good luck, Joey. You had a great career. Too bad things didn't work out here.

The Seymour comparison doesn't work as that was dependent on who would trade the most for him.

Point was the idea of generating goodwill only goes so far and certainly isn't a hard and fast FO rule, which is why I used the word(s?) "kinda." You get it when it's cheap, it's out the door otherwise.

Re: Rumor Galloway Cut....

Beaten out by a 7th round rookie

Wonder if we activate Nunn?

Re: Rumor Galloway Cut....

No big surprise here. Addittion by subtraction, as offense looked much better with him in street clothes. Clearly Tate will be active.

But should Nunn dust off his passport?

Re: Rumor Galloway Cut....

Clearly Tate will be active.

I dont get why people are jumping on the Tate-will-be-active bandwagon. No question the guy has a ton of talent, but he hasn't practiced. He hasn't had snuggle time with Brady. He wasn't in preseason. Oh and he suffered a major knee injury about a year ago....

Too bad, had high hopes for him... will see him in London.

Eric Alexander also released per 98.5
