In Ron's report card article Ron says that about Derrick Burgess ... Kind of funny ... it's Borges I know but it was a good line.

Same story with this group. Derrick Burgess changed uniform numbers to accommodate the arrival of Junior Seau but he played the same way, failing to make a tackle against a team that rushed the ball 36 times. Shouldn’t you at least fall into a guy by accident at some point?

OK someone tell me what Borges is talking about here...is he trying to insinuate that Seau didn't do anything in the game or is he trying to take a shot in the dark about Burgess's play in the game when he was inactive...

What is Borges doing other than stirring the pot again???

Burgess played

Apparently....

When Borges can actually write all of his articles, then he can tell someone else how to do their job. Since he continues to be a disingenuous, useless, pot-stirring plagiarizing waste of space, he can't.

Stealing from other people is probably the only way he can get his facts straight...

He is listed and reported as being a healthy scratch on every source I've read...

He missed Johnson on the run he broke that went 40 something.

???? He was physically out there playing. He just didn't make any plays. :)

I saw him on the field during the game. He was upright near a play where everyone else was either prone or supine.

It truly seems that weird old Al snookered Bill on that one.

Snookered for a 3rd round pick! He apparently is useless and 3rd round picks are like GOLD.

I don't get it, BB loves veterans from other teams. Duane Starks, Monty Beisel, this Burgess guy (jury is still out but not lookign good).

And he's a FA next year? Whaaa???

I dont think naming 3 guys in 10 years (which constitutes about 0.6% of the roster) is proof BB 'loves veterans from other teams'.
We needed help, Burgess was available, based upon all of our scouting BB felt he would help us.
We shall see whether that is correct or not.

Did you look at Belichick's 3rd round picks before typing that ?

Not including this year's picks of McKenzie and Tate this is our "gold" :

Crable
O'Connell
Dave Thomas
Hobbs
Kaczur

Gus Scott
Brock Williams

That's it under Belichick. I bolded the only two two have done ANYTHING for the Patriots.

He snookered him on that one, and he snookered him on Doug Gabriel. I think Pats got the better of the Moss deal. :)

You'd think that if Borges hit enough keys on his computer eventually a good article would happen by accident, you know law of averages and all, but alas, it hasnt happened yet.

I think BB intentionally makes a deal that works out better for the Raiders every now and then to keep crazy Al as willing trade partner for when BB needs to make another steal. ;)

<NO- I'm not serious> :singing:
